We provide our clients timely and accurate information regarding real estate occupancy status and property condition. We are able to provide property updates by hiring contractors/inspectors in numerous States to provide these updates. Our inspectors are independent contractors, that is: they set their own schedules, use their own vehicles, inspect for other companies and complete their inspection work timely and without our direction. No inspection license is required, but inspectors are highly-organized, self-motivated individuals who visit and take photos of properties and input results using an industry phone app. Each inspector services a set of zip codes or territory that they agree to cover. POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is a unique and vital role in performing the functions of an entry to mid-level Financial and Accounting Specialist in fulfilling the finance and accounting requirements for CSAAC’s and CSAAC’s subsidiary organization, Black Cherry Hill, LLC, in its business of operating a Rita’s Italian Ice Franchise. The ideal candidate must have a sound background within the hospitality, restaurant or retail industry to assist with the accounting, budgeting and financial growth of a small Rita’s Franchise.
The Financial and Accounting Specialist performs various financial and accounting functions within the Finance Directorate to ensure financial transactions are accurately and timely recorded in accounting systems of records in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), procedures, policies, applicable laws and regulations, and standards promulgated by CSAAC Leadership and Board Council. The Financial and Accounting Specialist duties involve assistance with financial accounting data reviews and analysis; preparation of check requests, daily cash deposits, cash/check accountability, and bank reconciliations; tracking accounts payable and account receivable transactions; assisting with performing monthly and year-end closings to produce financial statements; assisting with internal and external audits; timely processing of billings, collections, financial reporting, budget and tax preparations; file management; and payroll assistance. The Accounting Specialist reports directly to the Controller within the Finance Directorate and is under the direct leadership and guidance of the CFO/Director of Finance.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredit university in Accounting. A Finance degree, Business Administration of Management or an equivalent degree is acceptable with at least 3-6 semester hours of accounting classes passed with a grade of B or higher; Associate’s degree accepted with additional relevant work experience. 
Experience: Bachelor’s degree: (1) Must at least 1-year experience working in accounting, finance, or budget or banking, and be familiar with computerized data processing, financial reporting requirements, and general accounting functions with experience with accounting systems of records (MIP, Quickbook, SAP, etc.); or Associate’s degree with 3 to 5 years' relevant experience in the above areas. 
Preferred. Additional experience with at least 1 year of restaurant or retail experience with cashier operations, inventory accountability, sales reconciliation, bank deposits, expense tracking, tips, and payroll.
Skills: Good arithmetic skills are required. Must possess the ability to work independently with accountants, auditors, and automatic data processing. Incumbent must be able to make payroll, keep all records of taxes, and be responsible for all fiscal matters related to the Day/Supported Employment and Residential Services operated by CSAAC.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

<li>Ensures all bank reconciliations are prepared in an accurate and timely manner, and any adjustments are posted in the general ledger as necessary.</li>
</ul>

<li>Maintains accurate fixed asset records, computing depreciation expense. Ensures all fixed assets are identified, labeled, and inventoried.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Ensures Payroll transactions are correctly posted in the general ledger, with appropriate audit trail documentation in place. </li>

<ul>
<li>Ensures all employee garnishment, retirement, health, dental, life and disability invoices are accurate and processed in a timely manner and that employees’ deductions reconcile with provider, CSAAC, and/or Black Cherry Hill’s records.</li>
</ul>

<li>Ensures that W-2s, 1099s, and other required year-end reports are accurately and punctually prepared and distributed as specified by government agencies.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Performs as or assists the Billing Manager with the tracking, collection, and posting of Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Cash Disbursements and Cash Receipt.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Ensures that all legitimate inquiries receive prompt and accurate response.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Reconciling cashier operations’ daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly transactions for proper accounting procedures and production of financial statements.</li>

<li>Ensures all Accounts Payable transactions are correctly posted in the general ledger, with appropriate audit trail documentation in place. </li>
</ul>

<li>Works with Human Resources Department to ensure that the financial component of Worker’s Compensation claims is being properly recorded and tracked.</li>

<li>Adheres to all CSAAC policies and procedures; applicable regulations of federal, state and local laws; and the Council standards.</li>

<li>Adheres to mandatory use of CareMatic system to access, send email and access and report health information, data and incidents for individuals supported in CSAAC program. Adheres to mandatory use of 2interactHRM software for Human Resource and Accounting related duties.</li>
