This role works closely with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal project teams to develop competitive bids, ensure scope coverage, and facilitate a seamless handoff to procurement and project management.
Key Responsibilities:
Bid Administration
<ul>
<li>Prepare and manage subcontractor bid receipt logs</li>
<li>Solicit bids and communicate with vendors/subcontractors</li>
<li>Assemble and distribute bid packages</li>
<li>Track bid deadlines and submit proposals on time</li>
<li>Maintain organized electronic records and bid tracking sheets</li>
</ul>
Scope &amp; Trade Knowledge
<ul>
<li>Review and understand bid documents and specifications</li>
<li>Develop RFIs and clarifications for assigned scopes</li>
<li>Analyze and level subcontractor bids</li>
<li>Identify and select the right subcontractors for each project</li>
<li>Minimize exclusions and ensure full scope coverage</li>
</ul>
Post-Bid &amp; Project Handoff
<ul>
<li>Follow up on submitted bids and budgets with clients and stakeholders</li>
<li>Conduct internal handoff meetings with PM teams</li>
<li>Assist in subcontractor buyout and scope validation</li>
<li>Support PM team with cost breakdowns and trade-specific insights</li>
</ul>
Client &amp; Business Development
<ul>
<li>Attend pre-bid meetings and site walks</li>
<li>Support account managers and regional directors with client meetings</li>
<li>Build relationships with clients and subcontractors to generate future opportunities</li>
</ul>
Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>Minimum 5+ years of estimating or construction project management experience</li>
<li>Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills</li>
<li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office and estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, Procore, PlanSwift)</li>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field (preferred but not required)</li>
