Position Overview:
The Instrumentation Technician is responsible for installing, repairing, calibrating, and maintaining all instrumentation within our facility. The Instrumentation Technician must be able to troubleshoot and repair a wide range of sensors and related equipment, including pH probes, level transmitters, pressure transmitters, flow meters, RTDs, Thermocouples, etc. They will work independently and with other plant personnel to perform preventive, predictive, and routine maintenance tasks.
Position Responsibilities:

<li>Install, integrate, calibrate, troubleshoot, repair various measurement and controls equipment that monitor parameters such as pH, conductivity, temperature, oxygen, flow rate, level, mass, and water/air pressure.</li>
<li>Install, maintain, and analyze malfunctions of analog and computerized control devices, controls and instrument loops, and instruments for the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system.</li>
<li>Interpret electrical drawings, schematics, P&amp;IDs, PFDs, and technical documentation to ensure all work is done to standard and meets or exceeds safety requirements.</li>
<li>Use Programmable Logic Controls (PLC) and Programmable Automation Controllers (PAC) as a tool for configuring, troubleshooting, and diagnosing production equipment.</li>
<li>Work with EHS to ensure that all work is done to ensure world class health and safety, and full compliance with safety and relevant environmental regulations.</li>

Basic Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>Completion of an approved Certified Electrical Program or equivalent experience.</li>
<li>Minimum of five (5) years of experience in the maintenance and repair of analog and digital industrial control equipment, industrial electronics and test equipment.</li>
<li>Knowledge of uninterruptable power sources, diesel/gas generators, electrical switchgear, power distribution units, variable frequency drives, and automatic/static transfer switches.</li>
<li>Knowledge of building codes and regulations including Life Safety, IBC, NFPA, NEC, and OSHA.</li>
<li>Sound knowledge of Process Safety.</li>
<li>Understanding of proper use of electrical PPE (insulated tools, properly rated insulated gloves, hot sticks, FR clothing, etc.).</li>

Reporting and Responsibilities
 Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Technician is responsible for conducting the preventative and corrective maintenance activities, root cause failure analysis, equipment/system/process improvement, and timely response/resolution to down time issues.
 Additional Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
  Perform all duties in a safe and collaborative manner and immediately report any potentially dangerous conditions or other safety concerns to the supervisor.  Start up and shuts down equipment in accordance with operation’s requirements, company safety procedures and OSHA requirements for machine activation and shutdown and troubleshooting.  Advise management on machine issues, performance, or improvements.  Supports production employees to troubleshoot and correct failures on the production line.  Use root cause analysis to solve problems related to the different systems on the production line.  Strong  Troubleshoot and repairs electric controls, motor control centers, and programmable logic controls.  Perform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks such as checking, cleaning, or repairing equipment to detect and prevent problems.  Dismantle, inspect and replace electrical machinery and replaces defective electrical or mechanical parts.  Apply knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution, PLC, calibrations, and other electronics related areas.  Assist with mechanical troubleshooting of highly automated process equipment.  Maintain equipment logs that record performance problems, repairs, calibrations, or tests.  Mentoring/training maintenance mechanical technicians and production operators.  Calibrate testing instruments and installed or repaired equipment to prescribed specifications.  Basic understanding of the fire alarm system and able to recognize and acknowledge faults.  Must have capabilities to operate and understand the prcess of all equipment related with the auxiliary services like a chiller, boiler, AC units and Air compressor.  Must be able to troubleshoot A.C. · Monitors operation, adjusts and maintains heat exchangers, HVAC equipment and systems, electrical, emergency backup systems and hot water systems; chilled water, and air conditioning equipment; boilers, heating, ventilating and hot water heaters; pumps, valves, piping and filters; other mechanical and electrical equipment; records readings as necessary to ensure proper operation of equipment and makes adjustments where necessary to assure proper operation of equipment and notifies appropriate parties of any problems or malfunctions.
· Assists with chemical water treatment program of all systems such as chilled water, condenser water and closed hot water loops.
· Installs and repairs plumbing/piping/tubing; installs and rebuilds pumps and motors; installs and rebuilds air compressors and heat exchangers; replaces bearings in all types of motors; replaces seals on pumps and motors; installs and repairs wiring, valves, filters, hot water systems and associated controls.
· Maintains electrical system i.e. controls, switches, outlets and lighting.

· Supports occupant satisfaction processes by ensuring clients are informed about the status of their request in a timely and accurate manner.

JOB SUMMARY
The core and coil assembler role is a heavy mechanical assembly position that focuses on the internal assembly of our core and coils. In this role, an employee will work on functions such as landing coils using an overhead crane, placing top yoke steel by hand, using hydraulic equipment to press coils, and utilizing crimping equipment to connect insulated copper cables. An employee in this role must train, develop skills, and demonstrate proficiency in all of the following work center areas: Coil Landing, Core &amp; Coil Assembly, and Internal Wiring. An employee may also learn additional skills in Booster Assembly and Rack and Cable Assembly. 
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
<ul>
<li>Receive assignments and instructions from supervisor - both verbal and written. Follows drawings, Bill of Materials, and other established manufacturing procedures. Coordinate and communicate with supervision and team leads. </li>
<li>Set up core.</li>
<li>Land Coils onto a Core (E-Assemble) using a crane. </li>
<li>Cut fix and spread core clamps.</li>

 Knowledge of brazing equipment, wire and cable cutters, grinders, disc sander, band saw, portable scaffolding and ladders, hydraulic crimpers, hydraulic jacks, pressing equipment, air pallets, chains, hooks, clamps, coil lifting spiders, overhead and jib crane, table saw, shears, various hand tools and others.
 Materials used in this position include wood, cotton and crepe tape, connectors, metal and fiber bolts, and threaded stock, paper and fiber tubes, cable, buss bars, glue, pressboard, switch gear, silver solder, cleat and lead assemblies, assorted conductors of various size, top yoke, core assembly, windings, wood supports, spacer rings, insulating material, wood blocks and others.
 Precision work and care required preventing major damage to components or unit. Operators work at heights up to approximately 18 feet. Top Yoke operation presents additional hazards because of sharp edges on steel. Assembly operations require mental and visual concentration to ensure compliance with engineering and quality specifications. S/he must be able to work in confined spaces, including working inside tanks.
