Purpose of the Position
Supervises and coordinates activities of assigned team of workers while demonstrating a commitment to safety, teamwork, and quality work with a high degree of managerial discretion. Reviews job specifications, inspects work site, and confers with contracting agent to evaluate removal project.
Essential Position Responsibilities

What You’ll Do as a TCIS
<ul>
<li>Supervise inspection teams across active highway and bridge projects</li>
<li>Support the growth of construction inspection services in the Western Pennsylvania region</li>
<li>Oversee field inspections for compliance with plans, specs, and PennDOT standards</li>
<li>Maintain detailed records of inspections, including photographs, notes, and reports.</li>
<li>Prepare inspection reports outlining findings, discrepancies, and corrective actions required.</li>
<li>Communicate with contractors, project managers, and engineers to discuss inspection results and address any issues.</li>
<li>Provide technical guidance to resolve construction challenges</li>
<li>Identify and report any deviations from approved plans and specifications.</li>
<li>Evaluate construction sites for adherence to safety protocols and regulations.</li>
<li>Report and address any safety hazards or violations promptly.</li>
<li>Coordinate with project managers, architects, and engineers and ensure construction projects progress smoothly.</li>

Requirements:

TAK Broadband is a leading end-to-end U.S. fiber broadband network construction contractor operating in 42 states. It builds more than just networks; it connects communities to new valuable digital opportunities. TAK offers comprehensive service solutions, from construction to drops to fulfillment. TAK’s ecosystem of partners allows it to successfully complete every project starting from the first point of conception. This includes engineering teams, distributors, and more than 100 qualified construction crews with extensive experience across all ISP types and markets; over 300 experienced bury drop crews; and more than 700 professional technicians.
 
We are seeking a Construction Supervisor to join our construction team for our West region. This role will require extensive travel (+/- 90% annually) with client projects located in WY, AZ, NM, CO, etc. In this role you will support all phases of construction projects and manage all aspects of the day-to-day operations of team members.

The Role
<ul>
<li>Hire, train and develop talent for all roles</li>

<li>Travel throughout regional market to various projects as needed (+/-90% annually)</li>

<li>Manage payroll and overtime guidelines; manage productivity levels</li>

<li>Prior construction industry experience; coax splicing, fiber splicing, directional drilling, map reading, etc., a plus</li>
<li>Ability to be flexible and manage changing priorities</li>
<li>Able to travel throughout regional market to various projects as needed (+/-90% annually)</li>
<li>Open to a variety of schedules and accessible outside of normal business hours as needed</li>
<li>Excellent customer service, time management, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills</li>
<li>Ability to communicate effectively in-person or virtually</li>
<li>Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external customers</li>
<li>Ability to give feedback; positive and negative when needed</li>
<li>Strong desire to grow and develop team members</li>
<li>Ability to complete work indoors, outdoors, in tight spaces and elevated by bending, reaching, twisting, climbing as needed</li>
