Arrival Instructions: All Applicants should come through the Employee Entrance Gate off of Rt. 60 and let the Security Guard know they are here for the Howl-O-Scream Audition. Applicants will then turn right and park in the employee lot by the Entertainment Administrative office.&nbsp;
Audition: Once you have arrived, our audition staff will walk you through the paperwork and audition process. Auditions include movement and vocal exercises, but don't worry - no experience necessary! While attending the audition does not guarantee you a role, we will talk through the next steps once your audition concludes.&nbsp;&nbsp;
Howl-O-Scream 2025 runs Friday, September 6th - Sunday, November 3rd.&nbsp;&nbsp;

What it takes to succeed:&nbsp;

Howl-O-Scream Scare Squad Performer - Live Audition (Busch Gardens Williamsburg)

<h3>Job Description</h3>
Job DescriptionSalary: DOE - Stipend Range from $2,000 - $3,200 
Requirements:Recent Coaching experience within the last 1-5 years with K-12 athletes.
Reports to:Athletic Director
Time frame: Seasonal during the 2025-2026 Academic Year 
 
 
The Hamlin Athletic Department is seasonally interested in recruiting coaches for Volleyball, Basketball, Track, Cross Country, Running Cluband Soccer who are enthusiastic and possess a solid understanding of the basic skills of their sport. Prior coaching experience is preferred but not required. Practices are generally held after school between the hours of 3:30 - 5:00pm and games are dependenton league scheduling.Generally there isno more than a 3 day a week commitment during the sport's season andwe do not hold weekend games.
 
The Hamlin Athletic Department is excited for the use of our recently builtfull sized gym. The gym opened along with our new building in March of 2022.
 
Seasons are as follows:
 
Fall ( August to November) Grade 5-8 Volleyball, Cross Country, Running Club
 
Winter (November to Feb) Grade 6-8 Basketball, Grade 5 Soccer, Running Club

Athletic Coaching Positions

Job DescriptionMust be able to work late nights and weekendsRequired to complete the availability section of the applicationEssential Duties and Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Help guide the guests into the attraction.</li>
<li>Keep guest safety and satisfaction in mind by guiding guests to the entrance or exit, maintaining order in lines and answering questions.</li>
<li>Must purchase the Park approved Fright Fest red polo and wear black pants and appropriate shoes.</li>
<li>Must be able to speak to large groups of guests to inform them of the rules of the Haunted Attraction.</li>
<li>Haunted Attractions will stay open and in operation until the Supervisor has followed the last group of guests through. All employees must remain in their positions and perform their duties until dismissed by the Supervisor.</li>
<li>Keep the Scare-Actor’s safety in mind at all times by escorting Scare-Actors through the park both on stage and backstage, ensuring safe interaction between the Scare-Actors and guests, keeping track of Scare-Actors and handling any issues that may arise in an appropriate manner.</li>
<li>Diligently follow all scheduling in regards to meals and breaks.</li>
<li>Report any unsafe acts or conditions to the Supervisor immediately.</li>
<li>Maintain a clean work environment for the Haunted Attraction, break area, makeup area, and Show Wardrobe.</li>
<li>Adhere to and enforce all park policies and procedures as outlined in the Seasonal Handbook and the Department Standard Operating Procedure Manual.</li>
<li>Train new personnel as needed.</li>
<li>Any other duties as assigned.</li>
</ul>
Skills and Qualifications:

<li>Minimum Age: 16</li>
<li>Must be availability to work evening shifts on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.</li>

Haunted Attraction Host - $15/HR

<li>Work in areas that may include dark rooms, loud music, fog, strobe lights, animatronic effect and may be outside.</li>
<li>Follow all guidelines provided and reviewed during training including but not limited to the following:
<ul>
<li>Stay in character at all times while guest facing.</li>
<li>Work with Host, Escort or Supervisor if there is an emergency or issue to be addressed.</li>
<li>Do not touch guests or scare children in strollers</li>
<li>Do not excessively scare a single guest or group to the exclusion of other guests.</li>
<li>Do not stop performing to chat with other Scare-Actors, Supervisors, or Team Members.</li>
<li>Keep your own safety and the safety of the guests in mind during your performance.</li>
<li>Walk, scare and interact with people when they walk through your area.</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>Remain in your assigned area until dismissed by the Supervisor.</li>
<li>Wear the assigned costume appropriately, and supply black shoes, black pants, and the Fright Fest t-shirt.</li>
