XenoSTART, the preclinical division of START is a translational research organization focused on creating relevant preclinical cancer models. Our xenograft models represent each cancer type and disease stage and are established from patients at our domestic and international cancer centers. The XenoSTART Patient-Derived Xenograft (XPDX) platform includes over 2,500 models annotated with each donor patient’s cancer treatment and outcome data and characterized using IHC, DNA/RNA sequencing, and relevant in vivo drug efficacy. Our XPDX models are clinically annotated and include patient treatment history and outcome and are characterized through genomic profiling, histologic analysis, and in vivo drug sensitivity to relevant standards of care. These models may be utilized in the following manner:

<li>In vivo efficacy panel screens (indication or target focused)</li>
<li>In licensing of models for internal studies</li>

We are hiring a dynamic and results-driven Director of Business Development to join our team at XenoSTART. As a key player in our sales force, you will be responsible for understanding XenoSTART's unique selling proposition and translating it into effective solutions tailored to each customer's needs. This role requires a keen understanding of the Pre-Clinical sales process along with the ability to manage and exceed performance objectives in an assigned territory or named accounts. 
This is a remote role. The annual base salary for this role is $140,00 - $150,000 + Commission. However, base pay may vary depending on multiple individualized factors including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Essential Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Meet and or exceed assigned sales and revenue targets.</li>
<li>Expand our share of studies at existing clients.</li>
<li>Acquire new clients in partnership with the demand generation team.</li>
<li>Build client commitment at each stage of the sales process.</li>
<li>Participate in the contract review process to get client consensus, as needed.</li>
<li>Develop and manage comprehensive account development plans (Miller Heiman preferred); track progress against key account development milestones; report progress in regularly scheduled account review sessions.</li>
<li>Identify and build relationships with key decision makers internally and externally.</li>
<li>Manage and record all client interaction through Hubspot. This includes accurate entry and upkeep of details for Accounts, Contacts, Calls, Tasks, Events, Opportunities and Client Referrals for a comprehensive CRM profile of each client.</li>
<li>Work collaboratively with Finance to provide and maintain a regular forecast to ensure the business has clear visibility of future opportunities.</li>
<li>Other duties may be assigned at any time.</li>

Education &amp; Experience
<ul>
<li>5+ years selling solutions (tumor modeling services, BioA, Toxicology, PK/PD, DMPK, bioservices, etc.) to Pharma and or Biotech in support of pre-clinical and or animal trials.</li>
<li>Bachelor’s degree required.</li>

Location
This is a remote / travel sales position up to 75% travel-based, with no less than 25% remote work. The corporate office is located in Vienna, OH. Candidates must reside in the geographic territory that they are responsible for covering. The geographic territories we are hiring for are the following locations:
Raleigh, NC 

Reporting Relationships 
 The Regional Sales Manager will report to the Director of Sales. This role has no direct reports.

Position Summary 
The Regional Sales Manager will play a pivotal role in driving sales growth and expanding the market presence within the assigned region. This position is responsible for developing and executing strategic sales plans that align with the company's overall objectives. Additionally, the Regional Sales Manager will cultivate strong relationships with key distributors and national accounts to enhance collaboration and maximize sales volume. Ultimately, this role is crucial for achieving revenue goals and establishing a competitive edge in the marketplace for unit load products.
Essential duties and responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Develop and achieve annual sales and profitability plans</li>
<li>Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth</li>
<li>Generate new leads and opportunities through cold calling on the phone, through email, and in person</li>
<li>Use company-provided prospecting tools and networking to identify and contact decision makers at prospective customers</li>
<li>Follow up on leads generated through other Millwood channels (trade shows, website, other RSMs)</li>
<li>Develop and present proposals that address each potential customer’s defined needs</li>
<li>Negotiate pricing for all products and services with new and existing direct accounts</li>
<li>Maintain and expand revenue and profitability with existing accounts</li>
<li>Provide local support for National Account customer locations that are in the territory</li>
<li>Provide sales support for Millwood-owned operations (where applicable)</li>
<li>Document all activity in Salesforce</li>
<li>Represent Millwood at Industry Trade Shows, as assigned</li>
<li>Perform other duties as assigned.</li>

Requirements: 
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field. (Preferred)</li>
<li>Proven experience in regional sales management or a similar role.</li>
<li>Strong understanding of sales territory management and distributor sales.</li>
<li>Proven strong analytic and problem-solving capabilities</li>
<li>Ability to travel within the territory 3-5 days per week</li>
<li>Availability for overnight travel within your territory and to corporate meetings, events; or as required</li>
<li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CRM and Outlook</li>
<li>Must have a valid driver’s license and ability to travel by car and plane.</li>
<li>Must be able to rent transportation when required</li>
