SUMMARY: A Fleet Maintenance Mechanic is a mid-level position responsible for performing complex maintenance and repair tasks on diesel engines, vehicles, trailers, and refrigeration units. Building upon foundational skills, the Level 2 Technician handles a broader range of diagnostic and repair duties with minimal supervision. This role involves troubleshooting and repairing engine components, electrical systems, fuel systems, and drivetrain issues, as well as performing structural repairs on trailers and applying paint finishes.  SKILLS REQUIRED:

<li>Diagnose, repair, and maintain all packaging and support equipment to optimize efficiency and quality.</li>
<li>Conducts line changeovers and makes necessary set-up and adjustments as required by the production schedule.</li>
<li>Perform line alteration, rebuilding as necessary.</li>
<li>Repair of mechanical equipment including pumps, gear reducers, seals, bearings, hydraulic/pneumatic systems, and conveyors.</li>
<li>Analyze and solve both routine and complex electrical problems of processing, packaging, and auxiliary equipment.</li>
<li>Assist manufacturing personnel on process related problems</li>
<li>Perform established Preventative Maintenance. Identify and correct mechanical/electrical maintenance issues found during PM process.</li>
<li>Setup and operate lathes, milling machines, drill presses, grinders, press brakes.</li>
<li>Layout, fabricate, and install sheet metal ductwork, guards, and brackets</li>
<li>Advanced skills in oxy-acetylene, mig, tig, and stainless steel welding applications.</li>
<li>Assist Engineering on equipment installations.</li>
<li>Repair and fabricate parts as required.</li>
<li>Oil, lubricate, and check equipment and production lines.</li>
<li>Operate forklift trucks as required to move equipment or materials.</li>
<li>Assist and train team members in simple adjustments and maintenance</li>

What makes you a good fit 
<ul>
<li>High School graduate, or equivalent, or Associate degree in mechanical technology, electrical technology, or engineering science a plus.</li>
<li>Be able to train on 1st shift. 6:30 AM-2:30 PM M-F and transition once training is completed to 3rd shift hours 10:30 PM-6:30 AM Sunday-Thursday </li>
<li>Completion of a mechanical or electrical apprenticeship, or military technical training strongly preferred.</li>
<li>Advanced technical knowledge of machine shop operations, welding, mechanical/electrical maintenance principles (shafts, bearings, gearboxes, hydraulics, pneumatics, AC/DC motors, starters, contactors, three phase power, PLC's) required. </li>
<li>Ability to read blueprints, possess advanced mechanical/electrical troubleshooting skills and production maintenance work experience. </li>
<li>Initiative/motivation and communication skill required.</li>
<li>7-plus years' mechanic experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.</li>

The salary for this role is $25.00 - $40.00 plus shift differential $2.00. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range. This salary range may also be modified in the future.
