Job Summary
This internship will support natural gas production operations in the Marcellus and Utica regions while providing hands-on exposure to process control and automation systems. The intern will work alongside experienced engineers and technicians within the Remote Automated Solutions (RAS) business unit to gain practical experience in system design, implementation, and troubleshooting.
The role offers learning opportunities related to RTUs, PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems, and instrumentation, as well as exposure to customer interactions, project execution, and sales support activities. The intern will collaborate with internal teams, customers, and Emerson partners, with occasional travel across Pennsylvania, Ohio, and West Virginia.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

As SHINE continues the journey towards full scale production, the Radiation Protection Specialist will have direct responsibilities to implement activities related to Radiation Protection programs and facilities to control on-site personnel doses ALARA and limit the public’s exposure to radiation. 

The base salary range for this position is $65,000 - $90,000 per year plus a comprehensive compensation package. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
 
Duties and Responsibilities:
At the Discretion of the SHINE Radiation Protection Manager, the Health Physics / Radiation Protection Specialist scope may include but is not limited to:

<li>Work with the Radiation Protection Manager and Radiation Safety Officer to establish and implement radiation protection department policies, programs, and procedures.</li>
<li>Recommend process and design changes that improve radiological safety.</li>
<li>Assist in the development of Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and State of WI license applications and amendments.</li>
<li>Assist in the development of sound radiological practices around research and development work.</li>
<li>Maintain radiation detection instrumentation, and other associated equipment.</li>

Requirements:

<li>Associate’s degree in health physics, relevant engineering technology, or related physical science specialty; or High School Diploma with ANSI RP technician qualifications and experience at a nuclear power facility; or Navy Nuclear experience. including Engineering Lab Technician (ELT) qualifications. National Registry of Radiation Protection Technologists (NRRPT preferred)</li>
<li>Supervisory or Radiation Safety Officer experience preferred</li>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in Health Physics, Nuclear Engineering, relevant engineering technology, or related physical science specialty preferred</li>
<li>Certified Health Physics (CHP) or National Registry of Radiation Protection Technologists (NRRPT) preferred. </li>
<li>Technical understanding of nuclear facility principles and operation.</li>
<li>Familiarity with federal regulatory requirements regarding radiation protection.</li>
<li>Strong PC skills to include Microsoft software.</li>

A Quality Technician III ensures the products meet the required quality standards and specifications. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

<li>Coordinates daily with Lead Quality to discuss what projects all the Technicians will work on based on their knowledge and due dates.</li>
<li>Help resolve minor non-conformities and implement quality improvement initiatives.</li>
<li>Reads and interprets engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to understand inspection requirements.</li>
<li>Performs visual and dimensional inspections of machined parts using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.</li>
<li>Checks parts for conformance to engineering drawings, specifications, and tolerances.</li>
