SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Associate Vice President for Community Partnerships, the Museum Director provides leadership and directs policymaking, planning, organization, staffing, and operations. Montclair State University recently made an exciting announcement that it will receive a $5 million transformational gift that it will use to become an educational partner in the creation and operation of a museum and learning center at historic Hinchliffe Stadium in Paterson, New Jersey. The museum is scheduled to open in fall 2023. The Director serves as the spokesperson and chief advocate for the Museum and works closely with the Advisory Board to refine, develop, and implement a progressive program for the Museum’s fundraising, exhibitions, collections management, educational activities, and community outreach. &nbsp;
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Works in conjunction with the Board to develop the strategic direction and establish initiatives to fulfill the mission of the Museum and increase local, statewide and national awareness and prominence.

Directs the Museum's operations, to include development, education and public programming, finance, external communications, staffing, and community engagement.

Supervises the Education Director, part-time staff, volunteers, and works closely with Montclair State staff and educators.

Leads and participates in all fundraising and development activities, including grant writing and developing relationships with foundations, corporations, and individual donors.

Serves as spokesperson and chief advocate for the Museum. Establishes strong partnerships in the community.

QUALIFICATIONS:
REQUIRED:&nbsp;

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.

Minimum of five years of experience in a museum, nonprofit organization, or related field.

Experience providing strong leadership, developing and implementing strategic plans; and growing an annual operating budget.

Demonstrated ability to supervise, as well as to work successfully with, museum staff, volunteers, and diverse public constituencies.

The George Washington University Law Library seeks a qualified librarian for its Head of Legal Technology &amp; Instructional Services position to begin as early as September 15, 2023. As a member of the library’s dynamic, collaborative Instructional Technology Services team, the librarian in this position has primary oversight for the Office of Legal Technology &amp; Instructional Services. This position leads the development and delivery of services supporting the integration of library resources into the curriculum, the curation and use of the library’s growing electronic resources collection, the use of scholarly communication technologies and services, and the undertaking of digital initiatives. As the subject specialist for legal pedagogy and technology competency, this position works to improve student success by embedding the library in online teaching and learning spaces, integrating librarians into the face-to-face curriculum, and supporting faculty adoption of technologies to achieve learning outcomes.
The Law Library supports the curricular and teaching requirements of the Law School, the research and publication needs of the law faculty, and the study and research needs of the law students; and provides to the scholarly community at large access to a research collection of material about the law and its history. Job Description The School of Natural Resources (SNR) at the University of Missouri (MU) is seeking a faculty member in Climate Science. With this position, MU will better occupy a place among a select group of universities that boast a truly integrated and multidisciplinary approach to extension, research, and actionable scholarship in the field of climate science. This position will strengthen growing teaching and research programs, collaborate with other established MU research centers to garner major grants, form innovative new partnerships with private and public partners, and contribute toward improving grant and publication metrics considered in the Association of American Universities' (AAU) rankings. This position will complement and collaborate with faculty in SNR; the College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources (CAFNR); and other colleges and departments across the MU campus. Assistant Professor of Climate Science (TT)

The College of Science is seeking a Program Coordinator. This is a full-time (1.0 FTE), 12-month, professional faculty position. The Research Development Unit (RDU) within the College of Science is focused on accelerating research growth by leveraging college resources to encourage faculty to address grand societal research challenges and target funding opportunities to increase the size and number of competitive research grants in alignment with the Oregon State University’s <a href="https://leadership.oregonstate.edu/strategic-plan" target="_blank">Strategic Plan SP4.0</a>, the college’s diversity action plan, <a href="https://science.oregonstate.edu/diversity-plan" target="_blank">Embedding Equity, Access and Inclusion</a>, and the College of Science’s <a href="https://science.oregonstate.edu/our-college/strategic-plan-2015-to-2020" target="_blank">Strategic Plan.</a> The RDU designs and implements services, using an equity, access and inclusion (EAI) lens to help faculty, staff and student investigators succeed in obtaining and maintaining intramural funding within Oregon State University (OSU), and extramural funding from federal agencies and foundation grants. &nbsp; The Program Coordinator is a member of the Research Development Unit working on complex projects, collaborating with faculty, staff, and researchers across the college and university. Works with the Associate Dean and Director to bring research teams together for large funding proposal and supports the proposal submission in coordination with the proposal support staff. &nbsp; Leads, designs and collaborates with the Associate Dean and Director in creating professional development opportunities for faculty, graduate students, postdocs and other researchers in the College for example, grant writing workshops, open forums, and seminars with program managers across pertinent funding agencies. &nbsp; Coordinates the annual spring OSU-OMSI Science Communication Fellowship Outreach Program and other activities with other college staff. &nbsp; Collaborates with the Associate Dean and graduate advisors in leading the selection committee and processes for graduate student scholarships, fellowships and research awards, faculty &amp; staff awards, and related activities. &nbsp; Updates, designs, and implements online templates using the OSU online portal, InfoReady for the college funding and award opportunities, such as the internal funding program, the Graduate student Fellowship/ scholarship application submission process, the faculty/researcher awards nominations, and other applicable opportunities. &nbsp; Supports the administration of small to medium sized research projects across the college and may collaborate and/or participate in the administration of large research projects in the College. &nbsp; 25% Proposal Support Exercises independent judgement and knowledge of best practices in research development and administration. &nbsp; Coordinates with the proposal support staff in assisting researchers with grant applications. Serves as backup to the proposal support staff and provides mentorship and guidance as needed. This includes assisting faculty with proposal preparation and submission from inception to submission. During busy times, the coordinator will work with the proposal support staff to assist faculty with proposal submissions, including but not limited to budget review/development, budget justification review/development, review of logistical pieces of proposal submission. &nbsp; Assists proposal leads with editing/writing proposals for clarity or offer guidance on strengthening the project description. &nbsp; Revises proposal budgets if requested upon award as needed as a backup to the proposal support staff. &nbsp; Collaborates with the Associate Dean and Director on updating procedures for managing cost share requests. &nbsp; Serves as a backup for the proposal internal review and approval process for proposals submitted to the OSRAA through Cayuse. &nbsp; Collaborates with other units on campus to maintain current information on proposal and award process and policies at the institutional, college and agency level. &nbsp; 10% Professional Development &amp; Other Activities Participates in training and professional development opportunities pertinent to the position, in consultation with and approval by the Associate Dean. &nbsp; Participates in equity, access, and inclusion learning opportunities. &nbsp; Other duties as needed.
