What You'll Do

<li>Lead &amp; Mentor: Mentor and lead a high-performing team of Quality Engineers and Architects responsible for our SaaS and hybrid multi-tenant products.</li>
<li>Set the Vision: Establish and champion the technical vision for quality across the organization, influencing engineering-wide practices and standards.</li>
<li>Drive Strategy: Spearhead the evolution of our test automation strategy, standardizing tools and pioneering the use of AI/ML to increase testing efficiency and coverage.</li>
<li>Lead by Example: Provide hands-on technical leadership through architecture design, code reviews, and framework enhancements, setting a high bar for engineering excellence.</li>
<li>Collaborate for Impact: Partner with Product Management, Development, and SRE leaders to build a cohesive, quality-first culture and drive strategic initiatives from concept to delivery.</li>
<li>Own the Metrics: Define and evangelize key quality and performance metrics (KPIs), including DORA metrics and defect escape rates, using data-driven insights to continuously improve the development lifecycle.</li>
<li>Plan for Growth: Own the strategic planning for your organization, including headcount, budget forecasting, and resource allocation to align with business objectives.</li>
</ul>
Required Qualifications
<ul>
<li>5+ years of direct people management experience in Quality Engineering, with at least 3 of those years leading teams in a multi-tenant SaaS environment.</li>
<li>Proven success in hiring, developing, and retaining outstanding engineering talent.</li>
<li>Demonstrated expertise in designing and leading the development of modern test automation frameworks for comprehensive UI and API testing using tools like Java, TestNG, Selenium, and/or Playwright.</li>
<li>Hands-on expertise with enterprise-grade technology stacks, including experience with distributed systems like Cassandra and Kafka, and cloud-native environments (AWS, Kubernetes).</li>
<li>A track record of leveraging deep QA industry knowledge to drive innovative process improvements and foster a culture of continuous quality enhancement.</li>
<li>Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.</li>
</ul>
Desired Qualifications

<li>Fundamental knowledge of Identity and Access Management (IAM) concepts.</li>

<li>Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Product, Support, and Customer Success to drive continuous improvement in the customer experience. </li>
</ul>
You Have:
<ul>
<li>7+ years of experience in a technical, customer-facing role such as Customer Success Architect, Solutions Architect, Sales Engineer, or Professional Services Consultant.</li>
<li>Proven success managing executive relationships and delivering value across Fortune 500 or large enterprise accounts.</li>
<li>Deep technical knowledge in Identity &amp; Access Management (IAM), including Authentication, Authorization, Federation, SSO, and Access Management.</li>
<li>Strong experience in Java, web technologies, and web application servers (e.g., JBoss, WebSphere, WebLogic, Tomcat).</li>
<li>Familiarity with security protocols such as SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect, LDAP, and industry standards for secure architecture.</li>
<li>Ability to communicate complex technical solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.</li>
<li>Self-starter with strong project ownership and minimal need for management oversight.</li>
<li>Experience using CRM platforms like Salesforce (SFDC) and working in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.</li>
<li>Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience). </li>
</ul>
Preferred Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>Experience with Ping Identity products and solutions.</li>
<li>Knowledge of networking concepts (HTTP/S, TCP/IP), and multi-OS environments. Thought leadership or mentoring experience within a technical or customer-facing team.</li>
<li>Participation in industry forums or IAM communities is a plus.</li>
</ul>
USA: $130,594 to $163,243 plus Commission - In accordance with Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act (SB 19-085) the approximate compensation range for this role in Colorado is listed above. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors, such as knowledge, skills, and abilities.
