What You’ll Do:
- Grant Invoicing Process
1. Prepare monthly or quarterly invoices for County and other funding sources.

3. Ensure accuracy in grant-related payroll and benefit allocations and other expenditures.
4. Prepare journal entries for review and submission to GL team.

2. Update on a regular basis the outstanding receivables for the Grant Receivable and ensure accuracy of payments to invoices
submission to the county.
3. Prepare annual receivable reports for the audit requirements including subsequent cash receipt.

GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB: Responsibilities include, but not limited to, general ledger accountability, finance reporting, budgeting, forecasting and other projects as assigned. To perform technical accounting functions involving preparation of financial and accounting schedules, monthly/quarterly P&amp;L analysis and management reporting.

Duties and Responsibilities:

This is a Culinary Health Center Position
 
The main responsibility of this position is to complete the financial close process by facilitating the month end general ledger close including journal entry preparation, appropriate account reconciliations and fluctuation variance analysis, consolidated financial statement preparation, and regulatory filings for Neighborhood Health Centers, LLC (NHC). This role will also identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices. 
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES

<li>Ensures accurate and timely general ledger classification and coding of expenses for all NHC locations</li>
<li>Reviews pass-through expenses billed by NHC provider partners for accuracy, appropriateness, and timely payment processing</li>
<li>Performs monthly/quarterly/annual actual vs budget reconciliations with NHC provider partners and affiliated entities for settlement of balances</li>
<li>Monitors medical supplies, IT supplies and other significant expenses to identify any unusual fluctuations </li>
<li>Collect, organize, and analyze health center cost data, including operational, clinical, and administrative costs</li>
<li>Perform cost analysis to assess the financial performance of various health center departments and provider partner services </li>
<li>Prepares monthly consolidated financial statements for NHC in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)</li>
<li>Analyzes and reports on various ledger accounts including trends, costs, and other factors to ensure variances are identified and explained appropriately</li>
<li>Prepare actual vs budget financial reports after month-end, year-end close and as needed</li>
<li>Collaborate with internal and external partners to gather necessary information to prepare, analyze and record transactions related to assets, liabilities, revenue and expense to the general ledger</li>
<li>Prepare month end journal entries in accordance with GAAP and promptly identify and resolve reconciling items</li>
<li>Assists with annual NHC budget preparation</li>
<li>Designs and develops ad hoc financial and operational reports</li>
<li>Prepares various regulatory filings, including business license and permit renewals, property tax, and others as required</li>
<li>Prepare and update rent and CAM schedules for NHC provider partners and the pension fund in accordance with lease and sublease agreements</li>
<li>Performs quarterly CAM reconciliations and prepares monthly billing of rent and CAM to NHC provider partners and the pension fund</li>
<li>Reviews and/or prepares assigned journal entries for ASC842 technical treatment of leases and on-going maintenance for all NHC locations</li>
<li>Assists with developing, documenting, and updating accounting policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for health centers</li>
<li>Identify areas of process improvement within the health center operations and finance/accounting to enhance workflow efficiency and effectiveness</li>
<li>Support the Accounting Supervisor on various health center projects and coordinate with all stakeholders</li>
<li>Assist with the review and development of the NHC’s internal control structure</li>

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
<ul>
<li>5 ~ 7 years of direct experience minimum</li>
<li>Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or related field or equivalent work experience required (Master's degree or CPA license preferred)</li>
<li>Public accounting experience, preferably from a Big 4 or mid-tier accounting firm preferred</li>
<li>Experience with performing General Ledger, posting journal entries, preparation of financial statements, and other accounting functions</li>
<li>Thorough knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)</li>
<li>Knowledge of a range of automated financial systems and applications software (i.e. Sage Intacct, Adaptive, Yooz, Concur) or equivalent preferred</li>

Salary range for this position: Salary $77,600 - $97,000. Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to: relevant experience, qualifications, expertise, certifications, licenses, education or equivalent work experience, time in role, peer and market data, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.
Work Schedule (may vary to meet business needs): Monday~Friday, 7.5 hours per day (37.5 hours per week) 8-4pm, is a hybrid position in Las Vegas in our St. Louis Square office location. Training will be onsite daily for the first 4 to 6 weeks; then a one-day (approx.) commitment bi-weekly onsite with team.
