Do you have a flare for scare? Ripley's is looking for you! We are hiring for actor positions at Ripley's Haunted Adventure. What is better than scaring people and getting paid for it? We are looking for year round actors in the haunt as well as seasonal actors for our Fright Nights during September and October. 
 
General description of position and duties includes but is not limited to:

<li>Application of your own makeup and costume as defined for the spot you are scheduled. Training will be provided. </li>
<li>Operation of specific parts and zones inside the haunted house as well as street entertaining</li>
<li>Various daily cleaning duties within the attraction</li>
<li>Some positions require scanning of guest tickets, giving rules and guidelines of the house and general customer service before a guest enters the attraction</li>
</ul>
 
Requirements and qualifications:

<li>Must be at least 18 years of age</li>
<li>Strong guest service skills and the ability to know when to jump out of character to help a guest</li>
<li>Ability to communicate effectively and appropriately with guests, coworkers and management</li>

<li>Ability to move up and down stairs and move quickly from one part to the next. You will be on your feet a lot of your shift</li>

Job purpose
The Lead Electrician is an IATSE position in the Backstage Department and reports to the Supervising Stagehand. The Lead Electrician is responsible assisting the implementation (Load In, Maintenance and Strike) of Theatre Company productions as specified by Technical Direction, as well as, the successful running of assigned performances. The Backstage Department also provides support to ancillary projects as needed throughout the Center. Job Duties
The Lead Electrician will work closely with designers, directors, stage managers, stagehands, and actors while maintaining the Denver Center’s core values of integrity, inclusivity and collaboration. The Lead Electrician must be able to commit to a standard production schedule consisting of: daytime, evenings and weekends, and a combination of both. Performance schedules vary from 6 to 9 shows per week on our mainstages and can vary greatly in our off-site and experimental work. Production assignments are dependent upon the Theatre Company’s seasonal calendar and will change from year to year.
• Participate in and encourage a safe, healthy and inclusive working atmosphere. Support, enforce and recommend improvement to DCPA policies and procedures.
• Maintain a positive, flexible and respectful attitude while under periods of stress.

• Reading and understanding technical drawings.
• An understanding of theatrical lighting and projection equipment including lighting fixtures, dimmers, and control systems.
• Load-in of electrics and electrical effects for productions.
• Working knowledge of the optical capabilities of lenses and reflectors.
• Knowledge of basic electricity and stage lighting skills that relate to the implementation of theatrical effects. 
• Knowledge, ability and experience in the hanging, rigging, and focusing of theatrical lighting and projection equipment.
• Perform work required for the technical rehearsals and performance of a production, including: Console Programming and Troubleshooting.
• Maintain the “look” of a play during its run, including system maintenance, channel check. Insuring that all elements remain visually consistent with the design and safe for use by the actors.
• Experience in the repair of lighting fixtures
• Computer skills that relate to lighting systems and controllers.
• The ability to recognize and repeat lighting choices (focus, color, and cueing) throughout the duration of a production run.
• Has experience with theatre production in general, rigging and run crew in specific, and familiarity with the most up-to-date technology and equipment being used in the industry.

Working Conditions
The Lead Electrician is a dynamic position that requires working in a variety of different environments which may include: wood shop, traditional theatre space (onstage, in house, backstage and in technical areas such as grids), and off-site or non-traditional theatre spaces. Position requires a flexible schedule, including periodic long hours, irregular hours, and nights, weekends and holidays as required. The Lead Electrician may be asked to work at heights up to 70’, must be able to work from ladders, drive a vehicle, lift up to 80 lbs. and use industrial tools. 
 
Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is constantly required to see, talk, or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands or fingers to handle, or feel objects, tools or controls. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. <li>Do not stop performing to chat with other Scare-Actors, Supervisors, or Team Members.</li>

<li>Walk, scare and interact with people when they walk through your area.</li>

<li>Remain in your assigned area until dismissed by the Supervisor.</li>
<li>Wear the assigned costume appropriately, and supply black shoes, black pants, and the Fright Fest t-shirt.</li>
<li>Protect your costume from abuse or damage, and see that costumes are properly maintained.</li>
<li>Protect your make-up, mask, contacts, teeth, or prosthetics from abuse or damage.</li>
<li>Diligently follow all scheduling in regards to meals and breaks.</li>
<li>Keep guest safety and satisfaction in mind during performance in your area, including but not limited to guiding guests to the next area, maintaining order, and assist guests by answering questions if an emergency arises.</li>
<li>Ensure general housekeeping for the haunted houses, break areas, make-up area and Show Wardrobe.</li>
<li>Adhere to and enforce all park policies and procedure as outlined in the Seasonal Handbook and Department Standard Operating Procedure Manual.</li>
<li>Report any unsafe acts and/or conditions to the Supervisor immediately.</li>
<li>Train new personnel as needed.</li>

Skills and Qualifications:

<li>Minimum Age: 16</li>
<li>Must be available Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 4pm to park close</li>
<li>Wear costumes, stage makeup and/or prosthetics for long periods of time.</li>
<li>Must be willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions</li>
<li>Must be professional, self-motivated, the ability to multi-task and have an enthusiastic attitude</li>
<li>Must have strong teamwork skills and the ability to work with others</li>
<li>Must be able to energetically interact with guests for the full length of shift.</li>

WHAT WE PROVIDE:&nbsp;
This is a seasonal position at Six Flags Fiesta Texas, in San Antonio, TX.  It features a starting rate of $16.00 per hour,&nbsp;with perks such as:  Free entry to any Six Flags Park for all employees and a guest with each visit, additional complimentary tickets for friends and family, discounts on food and merchandise, flexible scheduling and daily and weekly pay available.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:&nbsp;
<ul>
<li>Working with Haunt Supervisors, Stage Managers, and Scare Actors to maintain consistent and approved looks for all Scare Actors.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Energetically interacting with the Scare Actors while applying makeup/ prosthetics/ masks in order to produce the best results possible.</li>
<li>Setting up and breaking down makeup stations on a nightly basis, if needed.</li>
<li>Applying the approved makeup/ prosthetics/ masks to Scare Actors.</li>
<li>Assisting with makeup area setup and strike as needed as well as cleaning makeup area spaces before and after use.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Assisting with crowd control in Scare Zones and in&nbsp;Haunt&nbsp;queue lines when/ if needed.</li>
<li>Ensuring safe behavior of guests, Scare-Actors and Entertainers in conjunction with the Entertainment Supervisors and Stage Managers.</li>
<li>Assisting with the cleaning and sanitation of the backstage makeup areas and theatre areas backstage.</li>
<li>Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health &amp; Safety responsibilities by following established Six Flags Fiesta Texas policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.</li>
<li>Previous airbrush experience a plus.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Performs other duties as assigned.&nbsp;</li>
