Promotes service excellence in all interactions as outlined in the Key Behaviors in the YNHH Core Success Factors and serves as a mentor for junior staff. Additionally, the Rad Tech 2 functions with minimal supervision, is expected to work independently in problem solving and may assume responsibility for Radiography section operations in the absence of the Assistant Chief Tech. To meet the staffing needs of the department, as necessary, Diagnostic Radiology staff may be assigned at any of the YNHH Diagnostic Radiology locations, regardless of your regularly assigned work location. RESPONSIBILITIES

Job Title: Nuclear Medicine Technologist \nStandard shift: Days \nWeekly schedule: 5x8 \nSchedule Notes: Mon-Fri, between 07:00 AM - 06:00 PM (8 hours shifts, start/end times can vary) - Can consider 4x10hr days; 5x8hrs days - No weekends, no call, no holidays\n\n \nDescription: \nReviews patient history and physician's orders.&nbsp; \nEducates patient regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure patient's understanding and cooperation.&nbsp; \nPositions patient and performs imaging procedure(s).&nbsp; \nEnsures proper imaging techniques related to patients age and ability to understand procedure (sight, hearing needs, ability to cooperate) to ensure image quality is successfully obtained.&nbsp; \nReviews patient information and interpretation of data to confirm an appropriate plan and intervention specific for age related needs and provision of care.&nbsp;\n\n \nQualifications: \nEducation: \nGraduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program \nAssociate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nuclear Medicine or related field – Preferred\n\n \nLicensing/Certification: \nCertified as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or registered as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) and certified in Nuclear Medicine (NM) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). \nNYS License \nBLS (American Heart Association) \nCT certified&nbsp;\n\n \nExperience: \n2 years’ Experience \nPE/CT experience preferred only \n&nbsp;
