Job Description
Position: Transportation Engineer, PE
Location: Nashville, TN
Duration: Full-time permanent
Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 / DOE
Important: Candidates must have a Tennessee PE license or EI Registration
Job Description:
The Transportation Engineer, PE will collaborate with other transportation team members, land surveyors, environmental engineers, construction engineer inspectors, and landscape architects to assist clients in developing transportation-related projects. This role will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of transportation projects with private and public clients throughout the state and southeast.
Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Execute transportation design plans, studies, and analyses through project software</li>
<li>Perform horizontal and vertical geometric design</li>
<li>Design stormwater/erosion prevention and sediment control/traffic control systems</li>
<li>Direct and train junior staff</li>
<li>Support project managers in meeting project goals and providing quality deliverables</li>
<li>Perform additional related duties as needed</li>
</ul>
Requirements:
<ul>
<li>Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering</li>
<li>4-6+ years of engineering experience, with recent experience in transportation design preferred</li>
<li>Tennessee PE license or EI Registration</li>
<li>Understanding of roadway design guidance from AASHTO</li>
<li>Knowledge of TDOT guidelines, procedures, and plan preparation</li>
<li>Experience in the development of roadway plans and specifications along with local municipalities and permitting agencies</li>
<li>Experience with MicroStation, Geopak, OpenRoads, or AutoCAD Civil 3D</li>
<li>Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously</li>
<li>Strong communication skills and attention to detail</li>
