What You’ll Do as a TCI
<ul>
<li>Conduct regular on-site inspections to verify that construction activities align with approved plans, specifications, and applicable codes.</li>
<li>Ensure that construction projects comply with local, state, and federal codes and regulations.</li>

The Transportation Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for all maintenance on our fleet of over 160 trucks. 
The Mechanic will be:

<li>Performing preventative maintenance and required repairs on G&amp;C-owned diesel equipment such as Yard Trucks, Trailers, and Road Tractors.</li>
<li>Performing minor repairs to G&amp;C Leased equipment when necessary. </li>
<li>Assist the Transportation Maintenance Supervisor with repairing the wash bay equipment. </li>
<li>Assist with the installation of TeleTrac ELDs, RFID tags, Ezpass, and Drive Cam equipment.</li>
<li>Assist with the installation and maintenance of trailer/dolly GPS tracking equipment. </li>
<li>Assist with maintenance of fuel and DEF pumps.</li>
<li>Assist with the collection of monthly equipment mileage/hours. </li>
<li>Assist with moving equipment for service purposes.</li>

Essential Functions:

Senior Construction Inspector - Transportation

Job Description
The LEXIS Group, LLC is&nbsp;currently seeking qualified Transportation Construction Inspectors (TCI) in the District 5 area (Schuylkill, Berks, Carbon, Lehigh, Monroe, and Northhampton)
The base rate may range from $20.00 to 35.00 an hour, depending on qualifications, education, and certifications. LEXIS offers several additional benefits, such as a Night Safety Incentive and a Long Distance Drive Incentive that can add additional money to your paycheck!&nbsp;
Primary Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
<ul>
<li>Performing daily&nbsp;inspections to determine if appropriate materials and construction processes are used</li>
<li>Inspection drawing reviews</li>
<li>Documentation of daily activities</li>
<li>Maintain project documents and files</li>
</ul>
Essential Functions:
<ul>
<li>Travel across various types of terrain</li>
<li>Read, write, and speak English clearly</li>
<li>Input/retrieve information utilizing electronic devices and a variety of software systems</li>
<li>Maneuver safely around moving traffic and equipment</li>
<li>React immediately to hazard warning devices, such as signs, sirens, and alarms</li>
<li>Use required protective equipment and be responsible for it's care, storage, and maintenance</li>
<li>Sit, stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, reach, crawl, twist, and climb; lift and carry up to 50 pounds</li>
<li>Withstand periods of heavy exertion</li>
<li>Travel to inspection sites</li>
<li>Tolerate exposure to noise, outdoors, adverse weather conditions, various plants and insects, and chemicals within Safety Date Sheet (SDS) limits</li>
<li>Work extended hours in excess of eight hours per shift seasonally and/or be on call beyond normal business hours</li>
</ul>
Requirements:
<ul>
<li>Candidates must have a minimum of two years of PennDOT, Pennsylvania Turnpike, or related transportation construction experience.</li>
<li>GED or high school diploma required.</li>
<li>Degree in Civil Engineering preferred.</li>
</ul>
Preferred Certifications
<ul>
<li>NECEPT bituminous and concrete</li>
<li>ACI</li>
<li>NICET Level 2 or higher in Highway Construction</li>
<li>CDS NextGen</li>
<li>KAHUA</li>
