Overview We are seeking a full-time, in-person Lead SRO Instructor to join our team at a BWR nuclear facility. This position focuses on the delivery of high-quality instruction for Initial License Class (ILC) students pursuing a Senior Reactor Operator (SRO) and Reactor Operator licenses. In order to qualify for the lead position individual must be previous licensed with supervisory experience beyond STA / work controls OR have atleast 3 years certified SRO instruction experience. This is a permanent staff position offering long-term career stability, collaboration with a dedicated team, and the opportunity to shape the next generation of licensed operators.
Key Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Deliver engaging, classroom-based instruction to ILC students in accordance with SAT (Systematic Approach to Training) and ADDIE principles. This is Primarily a teaching job with some contractor oversight.</li>
<li>Occassionally develop and maintain instructional materials, including lesson plans, presentations, assessments, and practical exercises.</li>
<li>Facilitate performance-based evaluations and written assessments to monitor instructors standards are met.</li>
<li>Collaborate with operations training staff, subject matter experts, students and other stakeholders to ensure effectiveness.</li>
<li>Continually assess and improve training methods, content, and delivery based on feedback and operational needs.</li>
</ul>
Minimum Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>SRO license or certification on a BWR or PWR.</li>
<li>Minimum of 3 years of nuclear plant experience . Previous licensed with supervisory experience beyond STA / work controls OR atleast 3 years certified SRO instruction experience</li>
<li>At least 3 years of experience must be in operations or operations training.</li>
</ul>

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
Performs advanced regulatory/technical problem solving and provides analysis/insights in support of nuclear plant operations. Responsible for regulatory/technical decisions. Possesses superior knowledge in functional discipline and its practical application and has excellent knowledge of applicable industry codes and regulations. Understands interrelations and functions of various organizations (e.g., Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), Institute of Nuclear Power Operators (INPO), Nuclear Energy Institute (NEI), etc.) related to nuclear power. Functions with recognized level of expertise in the regulatory area.
 
PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
<ul>
<li>Perform advanced regulatory and technical tasks, and provide insights in support of nuclear plant operations.</li>
<li>Perform independent research, reviews, studies and analyses in support of regulatory/technical projects and programs.</li>
<li>Provide in-depth regulatory/technical expertise to develop, manage and implement regulatory activities related to plant safety, reliability, maintainability, and availability ensuring compliance to customer's needs, regulatory requirements, and corporate policies.</li>
<li>Accountable for the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of work ensuring proper licensing basis management and assuring that standard design criteria, practices, procedures, regulations and codes are used in preparation of products.</li>
<li>Provide regulatory/technical expertise and consultation through direct involvement to identify and resolve regulatory issues.</li>
<li>Provide initial or complete task management of regulatory issues.</li>
<li>Recommend new concepts and techniques to improve performance, simplify operation, reduce costs, reduce regulatory burden, correct regulatory non-compliances, or comply with changes in codes or regulations.</li>
<li>Support resolution of regulatory issues associated with plant design modifications, testing and problem solving.</li>
<li>Assure all regulatory products prepared or overseen are in accordance with applicable procedures, licensing basis, industry codes, and all regulatory requirements.</li>
<li>All other job assignments and/or duties pursuant to company policy or as directed by management to include but not limited to: (Emergency Response duties and/or coverage, Department duty coverage and/or call out, and positions outside of department in support of outage activities etc.)</li>

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

About the role:

Estimated Starting Salary Range: 
The estimated starting salary range for this role is $250,000 - $279,000 annually less applicable withholdings and deductions, paid on asemi-monthly basis. The actual salary offered may vary based on relevant factors as determined in the Company's discretion, which may include experience, qualifications, tenure, skill set, availability of qualified candidates, geographic location, certifications held, and other criteria deemed pertinent to the particular role.
