About The Role: 
Urban Sky is seeking a Director of Product: Stratospheric DoD Systems &amp; Remote Sensing to lead our Product team in Denver, CO. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the end-to-end product strategy, development, and lifecycle management of our stratospheric balloon systems, payloads, software and data products. You will be a team of one (i.e., the only Product person at the Company). ABOUT THE ROLE
Zone Director will be responsible for daily oversight and performance of a sales region within S&amp;S Activewear, reporting to the current Region VP. Train and mentor physician team as needed and facilitate ongoing team-based learning within physician UM team using weekly case review rounds as a central two-way learning opportunity (i.e., everyone learns from each other on a team). Ensure that efficient and effective performance of UM physician team as evidenced through meaningful metrics that are tied to key business outcomes for quality, affordability and experience. d. Responsible to perform oversight of independent review organization appeals and ensure effectiveness of end-to-end process for medical appeals in close partnership with nursing leader of appeals process. e. Responsible for providing exemplary engagement on peer-to-peer calls and escalated UM cases. Consult with stakeholders as needed to ensure that UM decision-making is holistic and consistent with Wellmark’s contractual definition of medical necessity. Effectively engage with external physicians, health care facility UM leadership, and other stakeholders to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of Wellmark’s UM program. f. Responsible for oversight of delegated specialty UM vendor clinical decision-making. Audit UM decisions to ensure compliance with Wellmark’s contractual definition of medical necessity. Resolve issues that are identified through auditing, monitoring and feedback. Address root cause and ensure corrective action implemented and audited. g. Partners with and demonstrate effectiveness with Wellmark’s Business Analytics team to drive each component of product development/new total cost of care (TCOC) initiatives to reduce overuse using the below model. We use the Product Operating Model, and the core concept related to reducing overuse is: (a) use data to identify actionable overuse opportunities; (b) apply industry experience to identify and validate proposed interventions; (c) build a business case to articulate the impact; and (d) work through implementation to secure the result through measurable outcomes (i.e. Funnel, Reviewing, Analyzing, Ready, Implementing MVP, Implementing Persevere, Value Realization/Closed, etc.). h. Responsibilities:
Strategic Input

<li>Ensure proactive assessment and identification of project issues by functional area leaders and support teams in developing and implementing risk mitigation strategies.</li>

Leadership and Management 
<ul>
<li>Provide oversight, management, and leadership for Operations.</li>
<li>Supervise, coach, and mentor team members, setting clear job expectations, assessing training needs, and ensuring team members receive necessary training.</li>

Quality and Compliance 
<ul>
<li>Oversee the quality, accuracy, and timeliness of deliverables from the Operations teams.</li>
<li>Ensure CPC Operations teams’ compliance with applicable policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions (WIs), and relevant regulations and guidelines.</li>
<li>Review, and approve applicable policies, SOPs, and WIs. Work closely with team members to create and improve these documents.</li>

Project Management 
<ul>
<li>Function as an Executive Clinical Operations Manager or Project Manager for projects, as needed.</li>
<li>Provide mentoring, support, and backup for all relevant project activities.</li>
<li>Provide regular updates to supervisors on staff, key performance indicators, timelines, and deliverables.</li>
<li>Work with the team to identify and implement best practices for optimizing performance and increasing efficiencies.</li>
</ul>
Resource Allocation
<ul>
<li>Ensure appropriate resourcing and personnel allocation for evolving business and project needs within Operations.</li>
</ul>
Business Development 
<ul>
<li>Assist Business Development with benchmarking for budgets and development of proposals and service agreements.</li>

Executive Management
<ul>
<li>Support the Director of Operations, Director of Informatics, Biostatistics and Data Management and Leadership Committee to ensure optimal procurement, implementation, and adoption of systems used to support the CPC Operations team; identify and support system owners.</li>
<li>Oversee the accurate and timely recognition of project specific revenue; ensure accurate revenue forecasting for all assigned projects.</li>

Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>BA/BS in a scientific field. Advanced degree preferred.</li>
<li>A minimum of 10 years of experience clinical research (or equivalent) experience</li>
<li>A minimum of 5 years in clinical trial management (or equivalent) experience</li>
<li>A minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience</li>
<li>Thorough knowledge of Good Clinical Practice guidelines and applicable FDA and ICH regulations for conducting clinical drug trials</li>
<li>Proficiency in MS Office including Project, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel</li>
<li>Excellent interpersonal communication skills</li>
<li>Strong analytical and reasoning skills</li>
<li>Ability to work as a member of a team and to organize, instruct, and supervise staff while promoting group effort and achievement</li>
