Key Duties and Responsibilities:

<li>Review pensioner applications and supporting documents to determine benefit eligibility and completeness of information provided; follow-up with members to complete the application process if needed</li>

The Director of Finance serves as the Chief Financial Officer for the Township and is responsible for all financial operations including accounting, budgeting, financial planning, treasury and investment management, debt management, and financial reporting. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
 
Department Leadership and Management:

As a Retirement Plan Payment Specialist, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring that retirement plan participants receive their benefit payments accurately and on time. Your work supports both the technical and personal side of plan administration — helping employees access the savings they’ve worked hard to build.
 
Retirement Plan Payment Specialist Responsibilities:
 
Customer Service
<ul>
<li>Respond to questions from clients and referral sources in a timely manner</li>
<li>Be an advocate for Blue Ridge Associates in all interactions</li>

Transaction Administration
<ul>
<li>Accurately interpret plan documents to determine eligibility for participant transactions (e.g. loans, distributions, QDROs, etc.)</li>
<li>Intake, review, process, and complete transactions in a timely manner</li>
<li>Enter distribution information on required tracking lists and software (e.g. 1099-R, internal checklists, etc.)</li>
<li>Calculate, prepare paperwork for, and process Required Minimum Distributions</li>

Plan Administration

<li>Follow up within one (1) day to confirm that the member received the referral information and was able to reach the attorney unless a success warm transfer call was completed during referral</li>
<li>Follow up with the members until it can be confirmed that the member has had a consultation using the Follow-up Guidelines when you are unable to reach the member</li>
<li>Ensure that the member was satisfied with the consultation and determine whether the member will use the Providers services, would prefer another Provider, or has received all necessary services</li>
<li>Continue following up with the member until the Providers are completed to ensure satisfaction, at each and every touch point, proactively and after</li>
<li>Report all issues, concerns, complaints and potential problems with Members or Providers using the Escalations Procedures</li>
<li>Respond to all phone messages and emails within two (2) business hours</li>
<li>Report daily activity, using the standard Daily Report format</li>

Job Summary:
Be a contributor on an experienced actuarial team in a collaborative environment. Enhance your actuarial skills through a diverse set of tasks including reviewing and visualizing insurance data and supporting loss reserving and pricing analyses for clients.
Learning Objectives:

<li>Learn about actuarial reserving methods and assist in the development of loss reserve projections.</li>
<li>Develop a toolkit of a modern actuary including data processing with SQL, data visualization, and data analysis using Excel/VBA, Python, and R.</li>
