We are looking for part-time sales associates who are enthusiastic, energetic, friendly, and hard-working!
The Sales Associate is responsible for providing exemplary selling and customer service that is designed to improve the productivity and profitability of the store. The Sales Associate provides the customer with product recommendations and solutions by working proactively with them and serves as a role model of best practice retail execution. The Sales Associate’s overall focus is on sales, service, and relationship-building at all times. 
Additionally, inventory management procedures, conducting product sets, stocking product, housekeeping and assisting with stockroom duties are accomplished as identified or assigned. The Sales Associate also works closely with the corporate store team and reports directly to the Store Manager.

WORKING CONDITIONS &amp; PHYSICAL DEMANDS

<li>Must be able to continuously to stand/walk, push/pull, lift/carry up to 10 pounds, utilize fine finger movement (i.e. keyboard operating, writing, etc.) and tactile/touch to assist with products/customers/registers/equipment/etc., and grasping/gripping/holding with hands and/or fingers.</li>
<li>Must be able to frequently bend at the waist, climb/work at heights (i.e. step ladders, ladders, etc.), kneel and squat, lift and/or carry up to 40 pounds, and reach overhead with arms raised above shoulder height/forward reaching. </li>
<li>Must be able to occasionally balance on uneven surfaces/ground, lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds.</li>
<li>Must be able to rarely/infrequently drive or travel, lift and/or carry up to 75 pounds, or sit/remain in a seated position during job performance.</li>
<li>Must be able to continuously communicate with customers, co-workers, vendors, either in-person or over the phone, including speaking, hearing, and sight in order to assist customers.</li>
<li>While working, this position may be exposed to dust, cleaning agents, truck exhaust when receiving deliveries, inadequate lighting at close of business, tolerance of noise from products and customers, tolerance of smells/scents of products (i.e. candles, potpourri, lotions, etc.), work outside (i.e. taking out trash, assisting with deliveries, etc.), and work at heights in the stockroom or on the product floor. </li>

EMPLOYMENT STATUS
 
This is a regular, part-time, hourly position that is deemed “non-exempt” by the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), and will typically work between 6-20 hours per week, not to exceed an average of 28 hours per week.

<li>Adheres to security policies and enforces all security rules and regulations and reports incidents to Store Manager.</li>
<li>Assists in any other store function as needed to assure all work goals are met and to cross train in all store functions.</li>

 Cashier responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Operates cash register to receive payments and make change.</li>
<li>Follows established cash, check and credit card handling procedures and tax-deductible receipt procedures.</li>
<li>Packs or wraps customer purchases as required.</li>
<li>Consistently promote “round up” option to customers.</li>
<li>Reviews price information to note changes and sale items</li>
</ul>
 Sales Floor responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Replenishes merchandise on store fixtures.</li>
<li>Assists customers with finding merchandise as required.</li>
<li>Maintains displays keeping them neat and attractively merchandised.</li>
<li>Conducts periodic inventory of merchandise as required</li>
<li>Performs basic housekeeping task on the sales floor.</li>
<li>Removes poor quality, damaged or aged merchandise from the sales floor and prepares it for return to salvage.</li>

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
<ul>
<li>Must be available to work during operating hours as needed for business operations. Work schedule may include days, evenings, weekends, holidays and blackout periods which may vary from week to week as well as occasional overtime when approved by management.</li>

Education/Training: High School Diploma or GED preferred but not required. Retail or similar experience preferred. Physical Demands: Ability to stand and move around for extended periods. Ability to climb, talk, hear, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, handle, carry, push, pull, and lift objects up to 50 pounds. Skills: Basic computer skills, basic phone communication skills, ability count change and work a cash register, basic math, and ability to make change. JOB SUMMARY
Support customer satisfaction, growth, profitability, and other performance objectives of the branch office through coordination and maintenance of all inside selling and office procedures. Ensure all policies and procedures in accordance with the Gunton selling process are handled in a timely manner. Accurate follow-up on all customer requests, quotes, orders, and inquiries. Work in conjunction with Sales Representatives to ensure that the branch office achieves performance goals in customer satisfaction, quotes, bookings, cost containment, and margin (discounting).
RESPONSIBILITIES
<ul>
<li>Engage with customers in the Showroom and over the phone.</li>
<li>Convert In-Store, Phone-In, or Website contacts into appointments for the appropriate segment outside sales representative.</li>
<li>Manage the accurate and timely input of information into our customer account management software.</li>
<li>Develop extensive product knowledge, process knowledge, and the ability to navigate the Pella quoting system.</li>
<li>Convert customer requests into quotes through the Pella quoting system into accurate proposals/contracts.</li>
<li>Communicate customer product service needs to the customer service team in a timely manner.</li>
<li>Assist in the training and development of new employees.</li>
<li>Participate in promotional events for prospects and customers with the goal of increasing sales.</li>
<li>Manage mailings, filing, software updates, office supplies, and promotional literature inventories.</li>
<li>Proactively supports all business segments within the Showroom.</li>
<li>Responsible for promoting and generating Google reviews.</li>
<li>Make calls to facilitate appointments for all outside Representatives in Showroom.</li>
<li>Manage Showroom housekeeping activities to maintain a clean, professional, presentable office environment.</li>
<li>Always exhibit the highest standard of personal ethics and adhere to all Gunton Corporation policies.</li>
<li>Perform additional responsibilities assigned by your manager.</li>
</ul>
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP
Reports to the Inside Sales Manager.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
<ul>
<li>High School diploma or equivalent.</li>
<li>Ability to work at the Showroom location Monday through Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm, and a rotating Saturday schedule.</li>
</ul>
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
<ul>
<li>Previous experience in a retail environment.</li>
<li>College degree is a plus.</li>
