Router table operators/helpers cut machine parts from raw aluminum material that are programmed via the engineering department. Router table operators are responsible for setting up, operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining their machines. Job Duties and Responsibilities Operate router tables and cut boats to meet variable production goals. Program routers by accessing the proper programs. Initiate startup sequences, set plate heights and max depths, and set proper homes on machines. Know how to read calipers for measuring plate thickness and use a tape measure frequently. The core and coil assembler role is a heavy mechanical assembly position that focuses on the internal assembly of our core and coils. In this role, an employee will work on functions such as landing coils using an overhead crane, placing top yoke steel by hand, using hydraulic equipment to press coils, and utilizing crimping equipment to connect insulated copper cables. An employee in this role must train, develop skills, and demonstrate proficiency in all of the following work center areas: Coil Landing, Core &amp; Coil Assembly, and Internal Wiring. An employee may also learn additional skills in Booster Assembly and Rack and Cable Assembly. 
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

<li>Receive assignments and instructions from supervisor - both verbal and written. Follows drawings, Bill of Materials, and other established manufacturing procedures. Coordinate and communicate with supervision and team leads. </li>
<li>Set up core.</li>

 Knowledge of brazing equipment, wire and cable cutters, grinders, disc sander, band saw, portable scaffolding and ladders, hydraulic crimpers, hydraulic jacks, pressing equipment, air pallets, chains, hooks, clamps, coil lifting spiders, overhead and jib crane, table saw, shears, various hand tools and others.
 Materials used in this position include wood, cotton and crepe tape, connectors, metal and fiber bolts, and threaded stock, paper and fiber tubes, cable, buss bars, glue, pressboard, switch gear, silver solder, cleat and lead assemblies, assorted conductors of various size, top yoke, core assembly, windings, wood supports, spacer rings, insulating material, wood blocks and others.
 Precision work and care required preventing major damage to components or unit. Operators work at heights up to approximately 18 feet. Top Yoke operation presents additional hazards because of sharp edges on steel. Assembly operations require mental and visual concentration to ensure compliance with engineering and quality specifications. S/he must be able to work in confined spaces, including working inside tanks.

Overall Purpose and Objective of Position 
This position maintains and repairs equipment for a soybean Crushing and Refining plant.&nbsp; The primary function is to ensure that the electrical/automation portions of all machines and computer control systems remain in good order to optimize plant productivity and efficiency. Responsible for complying with all applicable Company standards, government regulations and best manufacturing practices. Maintenance responsibilities include project and outage work. This position is responsible for: assisting external support for PLCs/HMI for improving control of plant processes, training operators on any new program developments and registration of MOCs when needed, working with level 1 and level 2 electricians to improve their automation skills (networks, PLC, HMI), and leading level 1 and 2 electricians in daily electrical work assignments (LV/MV).
Primary Responsibilities/Essential Functions

Working Conditions
Technicians are scheduled to work 5 days -10 hour shifts weekly, with expected overtime during project or downtime periods. Electrical technicians will be on call for all electrical-related plant problems. Regular exposure to a variety of temperatures and prevailing weather conditions; regular exposure to gases, vapor, dust, odors and flammable liquids; occasional exposure to areas with wet/icy floors and high volume of noise. Heavy lifting of manufacturing materials and products is required. Position will require regular stair climbing and extended periods of walking and standing to access and occasionally work in remote areas of the plant, heights and confined spaces. Get fit tested and use half/full-face respirators. Personal protective equipment will be worn in compliance with Company standards and government regulations. Covers of call-ins or the extension of regular working hours are occasionally necessary to complete time-sensitive projects, attend training or to respond to emergencies.

About the Role

In order for the global energy system to make the transition from a carbon-based grid, to a renewable energy grid, large scale energy storage must be introduced into the electricity system to balance intra-hour supply and demand.  Energy storage is the enabler of high penetration variable renewable generation like solar and wind. 
We are looking for a T&amp;I Engineer to join the T&amp;I Team. The T&amp;I Engineer will perform interconnection modeling analyses and studies and participate in interconnection scoping meetings and other negotiations with various third parties and grid authorities. The qualified candidate will have a thorough understanding of the requirements to integrate a BESS utility scale power plant into the power grid including the implications on day-to-day grid operations as well on resource planning. The T&amp;I Engineer will also identify and develop tools for managing and reducing costs and provide technical solutions to address specific transmission and distribution grid requirements for various markets. 
Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Conduct steady state power transmission system analysis on TARA or related software to predict network upgrades and find ways to mitigate them in various US markets. </li>
<li>Prepare, submit, and manage generator interconnection process across ISOs/RTOs. </li>
<li>Conduct IBR modeling and performance tuning studies using both PSCAD and PSSE </li>
<li>Develop and validate PSLF, PSS/E, and PSCAD models for BESS generation plants and interconnections, including load flow, dynamic simulations, and reporting. </li>
<li>Ensure that storage resource projects interconnecting to the transmission system meet grid requirements. </li>
<li>Develop local system EMT models, perform disturbance ride-through simulations, and conduct PSCAD/PSSE model benchmarking to ensure system stability and compliance with grid performance standards. </li>
<li>Maintain a thorough understanding of the generation interconnection process across ISOs/RTOs </li>
<li>Provide assistance to other functional teams on various project activities related to interconnection process and reactive deficiency analysis </li>
<li>Participate in interconnection scoping meeting and other negotiations with third parties and grid authorities </li>
<li>Perform technical due diligence to determine integration capabilities of the various electrical grids </li>
<li>Provide technical advice on transmission and distribution interconnection issues for various markets </li>
<li>Determine the most cost effective, competitive options for expanding the integration capabilities of the proposed projects </li>
<li>Research activities of other utilities, power pools and analyze how their actions affect interconnection process </li>
<li>Assess transmission reliability issues and develop short and long-term action plans to mitigate potential interconnection shortfalls </li>
<li>Coordinate plans with an Independent System Operator to respond to current and future Bulk Power System requirements </li>
</ul>
Qualifications
<ul>
<li>Minimum BA/BS in electrical engineering; a master's degree in electrical engineering is preferred, as is a specialization in Power and Energy Systems </li>
<li>Minimum of two to five years of professional experience in the power and energy industry with a focus on electrical systems; experience in renewable energy strongly preferred </li>
<li>Strong background in power systems, analytical and modeling skills required; experience with complex electrical systems simulations preferred </li>
<li>Proficiency in power system modelling software: PSCAD, PSLF, PSSE. </li>
<li>Strong subject matter expertise in one or more organized markets other than ERCOT (i.e., CAISO, SPP, MISO, PJM) </li>
<li>Demonstrated experience with inverter-based plant modeling </li>
<li>Ability to perform power flow analyses and review models and studies </li>
<li>Demonstrated experience influencing cross-functional teams </li>
<li>Strong presentation and written skills; must be able to communicate across multiple regions and language barriers </li>
<li>Ability to engage and communicate with customers and stakeholders at all organizational levels </li>
<li>Ability to effectively use Microsoft Office products – Word, Excel, Power Point </li>

Compensation, Location, and Benefits
Highly competitive total compensation from one of North America's leading energy storage developers, owners and operators. Flexible, work from home or hybrid work from Plus Power's offices in San Francisco, Houston, Chicago, Seattle, and Palm Beach. 
The expected salary range* for this position begins at $120,000. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range based on several factors including, but not limited to relevant experience, skills, qualifications, geographic labor market, and other factors consistent with applicable law. This position is also eligible to participate in our annual bonus program.
