About the Positions
To meet areas of university strategic growth in global graduate education and impact, New hires will join an excellent, experienced and dynamic faculty and staff highly committed to exceptional education and student experience, the School for Professional Studies at Saint Louis University is seeking multiple, full-time faculty in the areas of information systems, cybersecurity, analytics, research methods and related disciplines.
All are open-rank, non-tenure track full-time faculty positions, with a nine-month contract running from August to May (renewed annually, with multi-year contracts possible after the first year). Candidates will teach up to seven graduate-level courses during the daytime with the bulk of the teaching occurring on campus. However, there is the possibility to teach select online sections if need dictates. There are also potential summer, flexible, online teaching opportunities.
As these are primarily teaching roles, research is supported but not required. However, active researchers and those with grants may be eligible for a reduction in teaching load. For interested faculty, potential or partial reduction in teaching load to maintain industry/professional practice in related area of expertise is an option. Additional expectations include limited service to support the program and School for Professional Studies as assigned by the appropriate Program Director in consultation with the Associate Dean of Academic Affairs.
Faculty will join a community where teaching excellence is present and well-supported. Key Qualifications
Ideal candidates are cross-functional, with the ability to teach in more than one area. Exact courses will depend on program needs, although no new course preparation will be necessitated, as classes are already designed.
For the Master of Science in Information Systems program, candidates should have a Ph.D. in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a closely related discipline. ABD candidates in these fields may be considered. Those with a master’s degree in these disciplines may be considered but only if the candidate can demonstrate extensive industry experience and certifications.
For the Master of Science in Cybersecurity Global Graduate program, candidates should have a Ph.D. in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or a closely related discipline. The Department of History at Santa Clara University,a Jesuit, Catholic university,&nbsp;seeks applications for a tenure-track assistant professorship (full-time) in the history of the American West with research and teaching interests in the history of technology in the 20th and 21st centuries, the history of California, and/or the history of Silicon Valley, to begin fall 2024. Applicants are strongly encouraged to discuss how their research and teaching intersect with and leverage our location in Santa Clara Valley on the site of the historic Spanish mission Santa Clara, built on the ancestral lands of the Ohlone and the Muwekma Ohlone peoples. SCU is on the quarter system and faculty are expected to teach 6 courses per year (2 each quarter), assuming they are engaged in an active scholarship program.

We seek a historian who can engage with the broader social, demographic, and environmental forces that transformed the “Valley of Heart’s Delight” into “Silicon Valley.” We are particularly interested in a scholar with expertise in digital humanities and public history. Historians who are able to take a long view of the development of northern California from its earliest and persistent Indigenous inhabitants to the technological transformation of the 20th and 21st centuries are especially welcome. We are also looking for historians who can connect the history of technology and the computer industry to various dynamics of the 20th and 21st centuries that it has affected. Such intersections could include the environmental and social impacts of technological development and modern capitalism; . data justice, surveillance, and control; labor and migration shifts, particularly immigration from Asia; and problems of race and gender equity in technology fields. The successful candidate will be able to help our students critically assess popular narratives about the technology industry and its role in our society and develop a complex understanding of its impact on the social and historical dynamics of the modern world.&nbsp;

The College of Arts &amp; Sciences is currently conducting its third cluster hire in the area of Inequality &amp; Social Justice. It is possible that the person hired for this position will be included in the Fall 2024 cohort if their research/teaching is a strong fit. Cluster hire participants will receive mentorship and regular group meetings providing peer support and an interdisciplinary intellectual community to support their scholarly and creative work.

The successful candidate will also demonstrate the potential for excellent, innovative undergraduate teaching and mentoring, and a willingness to support student research. Preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate inclusive pedagogical practices and conduct research that advances SCU goals of diversity and equity and provide evidence of experience in teaching and mentoring a diverse population of undergraduate students. Teaching

Develop and teach courses that contribute to curriculum development in the history major and university core.&nbsp; Faculty teaching university core courses should follow an approved syllabus or work with the chair to design an appropriate syllabus for submission for approval from the relevant Faculty Core Curriculum Committee.
3. Participate in assessment of student learning for courses in the department.
4. Provide informed advice and mentoring to undergraduate students.
5. Fulfill other instructional or academic duties as may be assigned by the Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences or by the Chair of the History Department.

Research
1. Develop a research program at SCU that will result in the publication of peer-reviewed publications, monographs, and/or creative work per the department scholarship standards.
2. Preference will be given to candidates with a research program that can accommodate participation of undergraduates.

1. <h2>CLASS CHARACTERISTICS</h2>
This single division level class provides professional and administrative assistance to the Director of Community Services in planning, organizing, and directing of services and programs for the Stockton-San Joaquin County Public Library system. This position serves as administrative head of the library system and is responsible for implementing policy, developing goals and objectives, selecting and supervising staff, managing the library budget, and administering operations and activities. Assignments allow for a high degree of administrative independence in their execution. &nbsp;
<h2>PRINCIPAL DUTIES (Illustrative Only)</h2>
Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following: &nbsp;
<ul>
<li>Develops and directs the implementation of goals, objectives, policies, procedures and work standards for the Library Division.</li>
<li>Formulates and recommends policy to the Director of Community Services and implements after adoption.</li>
<li>Directs the preparation and administration of the division's budget; manages and monitors the use of grant funding sources and the submission of required reporting.</li>
<li>Selects assigned staff and provides for their training and professional development.</li>
<li>Plans, organizes, administers, reviews, and evaluates the activities of professional and support staff.</li>
<li>Serves as liaison between the library system and other City departments; establishes and maintains contact with County and other City governing bodies for whom the library provides patron services.</li>
<li>Develops, revises, and implements administrative programs and procedures, such as workload planning and assignments, computerization and work processing services, and physical space allocation and equipment needs.</li>
<li>Directs the management of library collections; leads and directs division staff in the development and application of new library information technology processes and technologies; directs the administration of the library’s public access to the Internet, library website, and online services unique to the library system.</li>
<li>Evaluates the effectiveness of library services and programs in meeting community needs; represents the library in the community and in the state and the national library service; recommends applications for funds from public and private agencies to secure support for library programs and services.</li>
<li>Interprets City and Department policies and procedures to staff; maintains oversight of and is responsible for morale, productivity, and discipline of division staff.</li>
<li>Directs the conduct of analytical and management studies; reviews reports of findings, considers alternatives, and provides recommendations to achieve optimal efficiency and effectiveness.</li>
<li>Monitors developments related to library operations; evaluates their impact and recommends improvements.</li>

Education: Possession of a Master’s degree in Library Science or Library and Information Science from a college or university accredited by the American Library Association. Experience: Three years of supervisory and/or administrative experience which has included administration of library programs and services and supervision of professional and technical staff. Accompanist for Organ &amp; Piano
Plymouth Congregational Church seeks an accompanist gifted in both piano and organ. We have a new Viscount Four Manual Organ that is a glorious instrument. Our sanctuary also has a grand piano. We are located in the heart of New Hampshire in the university town of Plymouth.
The ideal candidate is familiar with church music, has good communication skills and works well with people of all ages. This individual will work closely with the Director of Music, Pastor, office administrator, and music committee
Duties to include:
<ul>
<li>Summer position is mid June- end of August followed immediately by the regular church season. There is no choir in the summer, so there are no evening rehearsals and no choral introit, choral anthem or benediction but accompanist will select and play prelude, postlude, and communion music (first Sunday of the month) as well as an anthem</li>
<li>For the regular church season, Select, prepare and play prelude, postlude, communion music. Service consists of three hymns (selected by the pastor/music director) and choral music (selected by the Director of Music) for the introit, offertory anthem, and benediction response.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Provide music for special services throughout the year including, but not limited to, Christmas Eve, Ash Wednesday and Maundy Thursday during Holy Week</li>
<li>Play for choir rehearsals on Thursdays from 7-8:30 pm, September to mid&nbsp; June. The choir also&nbsp;rehearses 8:30-9:10 am, before the 9:30 Sunday service&nbsp;</li>
<li>Right of first refusal for funerals and weddings for additional compensation.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Serve as a performance and rehearsal accompanist for all soloists (vocal or instrumental) as needed for services</li>
<li>Attend monthly music committee meetings during the regular church season (September- mid June). These are held after church on the second Sunday of the month September-June&nbsp;</li>
<li>We have Baldwin baby grand piano and a Viscount digital hybrid 4 manual organ</li>
<li>Compensation: up to $15,000.00 depending on experience for the regular church season, and $150.00 for each summer Sunday service played.</li>
