Futurex is seeking talented individuals with a passion for technology and an interest in business to join our team as a Technical Support Engineer for our 1st shift 8:00 am - 5:00 pm CT. This position is on-site at Futurex’s Engineering Campus in Bulverde, 15 miles north of San Antonio, Texas. 
This position involves individuals in both the business development and IT support for Futurex’s advanced line of cryptographic security solutions. Initially, individuals in this position work to develop a deep knowledge of Futurex technology and industry standards by participating in our software quality assurance process. This progresses into customer support and sales with Tier-1 organizations worldwide.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

<li>Provide ongoing technical support and guidance to Futurex’s global customer base from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm CT</li>
<li>Test and troubleshoot new and existing hardware, software, and firmware developed for the data security and encryption industry</li>
<li>Apply business knowledge and technical ability to create state-of-the-art solutions to help enterprises secure their sensitive data</li>
<li>Train customers on the Futurex product line and data security best practices</li>
<li>Help develop customer IT environments and provide project management services for custom initiatives</li>
<li>Write and maintain technical documentation released to the public</li>
<li>Understand industry-specific APIs and protocols used when interfacing with external systems</li>

Requirements

Qualifications 
Your Experience&nbsp;
<ul>
<li>Minimum of 7 years of network security experience</li>
<li>Expertise in TCP/IP and advanced knowledge of LAN/WAN technologies, expertise with general routing/switching, Routing protocols (e.g BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), branch, and center architectures</li>
<li>Advanced understanding of packet flow across multiple OSI layers</li>
<li>Extensive experience with troubleshooting Remote Access VPN solutions including IPSEC, PKI &amp; SSL technologies</li>
<li>Ability to independently debug broad, complex, and unique networks with mixed media and protocols required</li>
<li>In-depth knowledge of networking operations - TCP and UDP, SNMP, IPv6, VLSM, CIDR, and NAT - Static, Dynamic, and PAT</li>
<li>Proficiency with network troubleshooting tools -&nbsp;Wireshark, GNS3&nbsp;&nbsp;</li>
<li>Strong grasp authentication protocols - LDAP, TACACS+, Radius</li>
<li>Skilled in engaging executive-level stakeholders with clear technical communication</li>
<li>Proven track record of effectively communicating technical concepts to diverse audiences</li>
<li>Consistently maintains rigorous case management practices, ensuring thorough documentation and timely updates</li>

Compensation Disclosure
The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/commissioned roles) is expected to be between $108000/YR - $175200/YR.
