The Chief of Endocrinology will provide strategic leadership and direction for all aspects of the&nbsp;Division. The Division Chief will be responsible for all planning, policy, operations, and&nbsp;oversight of academic, research, and clinical programs of the Division. The Chief of Endocrinology&nbsp;will have financial authority over the division&nbsp; budget, including extramural research and&nbsp;philanthropic funding received and other financial matters for the division, in accordance with&nbsp;applicable University policies and practices. The multidisciplinary Social Science Department at LaGuardia Community College, CUNY is seeking a psychologist with teaching experience for a tenure-track position at the level of Assistant Professor. <li>Maintains a safe, clean environment in resident rooms and facility following infection control procedures to bag infectious linens and equipment or proper disposal of them; proper handwashing, disinfection/cleaning schedules.</li>
<li>Avoids the need for restraints in accordance with DHS nursing home standards.</li>
<li>Ensures all cares are documented and that resident records are complete through systematic collection, reporting and documentation of data that is secure from unauthorized access and follows state and federal regulations, including HIPAA to ensure privacy and maintain confidentiality.</li>
<li>Promptly reports and documents incidents and errors involving residents, staff, visitors or self.</li>
<li>Prioritizes work assignments consistent with number and level of staff available and resident care acuity.</li>
<li>Reviews, departing staff report at start of shift, ensures duties and delegated tasks are complete at end of shift and reports off to nurse when leaving.</li>

The Department of Public Health is seeking a highly motivated, detailed orientated individual to serve as a Health Facilities Surveillance Nurse in the Division of Assisted Living. This individual will conduct surveys of facilities, including state licensure and complaint surveys. The HFSN will be responsible for preparing written survey documentation. Under general supervision, surveys facilities to determine compliance with state licensure requirements and Department directives, program policies and procedures. Travels to conduct routine health and safety surveys to determine compliance with state and federal requirements. Interviews facility residents, staff, administrators, health care providers and other individuals. Observes patient care provided at facilities. Reviews medical records, policies, standard operating procedures and other facility documents related to licensure and/or regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Under general direction, surveys Assisted Living and Shared Housing Establishments to determine compliance with state licensure requirements, and Department directives, program policies and procedures.</li>

<li>Requires licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Illinois.</li>
<li>Requires appropriate, valid driver’s license.</li>
<li>Requires ability to travel in the performance of duties with overnight stays as appropriate.</li>
<li>Overtime is a condition of employment, and you may be requested or required/mandated to work overtime including scheduled, unscheduled, or last-minute overtime. This requires the ability to work evenings and weekends.</li>
