SUMMARY 
The Advanced Practice Clinician (Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, Certified Nurse Midwife, and other licensed providers) will function as part of a healthcare team to provide care under the medical supervision of the Medical Director in accordance with PPFA and PPNorCal Medical Standards and Guidelines and all relevant federal, state, and local regulations. 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- include the following: Other duties may be assigned.
HEALTH CENTER
Work in the health center providing comprehensive clinical sexual and reproductive health care services to all patients in accordance with evidence-based practice protocols. 
Utilize knowledge of and experience in patient care to: 
<ul>
<li>Obtain a basic health history and comprehensive gynecological (GYN) history. </li>
<li>Perform a general physical exam, breast exam, GYN exam, and male genitourinary exam. </li>
<li>Recognize common breast and GYN deviations from normal and provide management or referral as appropriate. </li>
<li>Recognize common non-GYN deviations from normal and provide management or referral as appropriate. </li>
<li>Provide preventive care, including screening for breast and cervical cancers. </li>
<li>Obtain and interpret laboratory tests and results related to GYN visits. </li>
<li>Perform and interpret transvaginal and abdominal ultrasounds. </li>
<li>Screen for contraindications and special conditions to contraceptive methods. </li>
<li>Provide appropriate contraception to patients, including intrauterine contraceptives (IUCs) and implants. </li>
<li>Test and treat STI’s and other infectious conditions. </li>
<li>Provide PrEP and nPEP to prevent HIV infection. </li>
<li>Provide care across the reproductive health lifespan, including basic infertility services and menopause management. </li>
<li>Provide medication abortion, early pregnancy complication management, and other special services as appropriate by licensure. </li>
<li>Assess and manage complications from in-clinic abortion, medication abortion, and vasectomy. Depending on location may support in-clinic abortion clinic. </li>
<li>Provide care for patients of all gender identities, including gender-affirming care. </li>
<li>Construct an accurate assessment and treatment plan based on history, exam, and lab findings. </li>
<li>Provide patient with general reproductive health maintenance, education, and counseling. </li>
<li>Ensure complete and accurate medical documentation in EHR application and bill and code patient visits appropriately. </li>
<li>Function as a medical resource for health center staff.</li>
<li>Participate in health center efforts to achieve established goals for productivity, with the minimum goal of 3.0 encounters per hour. </li>
<li>Participate in research studies conducted in the health center.</li>

Pay Range: The wage scale reflects the compensation that a new employee can expect to receive if offered employment. The wage scale for this position is $71.00- $84.86 per hour, based on relevant professional years of experience.

• Provides comprehensive medical and surgical care to High Risk women focused on pregnancy, childbirth, reproductive system disorders, preventive care, prenatal services, STD detection, Pap screening, and family planning
 
OB-GYN Physician OR 2026 Residents- Duties &amp; Responsibilities
• Deliver OB-GYN outpatient clinic services
• Serve as the lead referral provider for women’s health consultations
• Manage inpatient obstetrical and gynecological care, both medical and surgical
• Perform gynecological procedures and spontaneous/operative deliveries
• Respond to urgent or stat consults related to OB/GYN needs
• Admit patients to Hospital and act as attending physician
• Rotate on-call responsibilities evenly across providers, including weekends
• Prescribe pharmaceuticals in line with approved drug formularies
• Provide clinical leadership and education to support staff
• Promote preventive care, health maintenance, and patient self-care through education
• Attend staff meetings and contribute to diagnostic/treatment planning
• Communicate with families regarding patient conditions and progress
• Supervise advanced practice providers (PA, NP, or Midwife) as assigned
• Refer patients for specialized care when outside scope of practice

• Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
