Minimum Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>Associates Degree in Office Management, Paralegal or closely related field and two years' experience as a legal secretary; or an equivalent combination of training, education, and work experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of this position.</li>

Licenses, Certifications, Special Requirements:
<ul>
<li>Must type 50 WPM.</li>
<li>Must demonstrate seventy percent proficiency in grammar, spelling and math.</li>
<li>Upon recommendation for hire, a criminal background check is required to determine suitability for hire, including a 39-month Motor Vehicle Record.</li>
<li>May require possessing and maintaining a valid driver's license, (no DUIs or major traffic citations within the last three years).</li>
<li>If required, must meet the Tohono O'odham Nation tribal employer's insurance requirements to receive a driver's permit to operate program vehicles.</li>
<li>Based on the department's needs, incumbents may be required to demonstrate fluency in both the Tohono O'odham Language and English as a condition of employment.</li>

Busy and growing Fort Myers law firm is seeking an experienced probate and/or trust administration legal assistant. The firm has a very active probate case load and the position requires a candidate to have substantial probate experience. The candidate will be responsible for managing the client case from inception to closing. The candidate will have direct client contact.
Additional experience in guardianship matters and preparation of Form 706 are beneficial.
