Who we are looking for:

<li>You need to have excellent time management skills. We do anywhere from 4-10 walks per day. Usually the visits are back-to-back and must be completed within a certain time frame.</li>
<li>You must be able to work independently and be resourceful. We provide initial training and ongoing training, but much of the dog walking and pet sitting work is independent and on your own.</li>
<li>You need to have strong communication skills, both written and verbal. We communicate with clients mostly through notes through our system. Our clients love receiving our updates each day, so you must be able to communicate clearly with clients and staff.</li>
<li>You should have strong animal intuition skills. We provide ongoing animal training, but you must bring a confidence with animals to each visit.</li>
<li>You must be an animal-lover and have endless amounts of patience when it comes to animals.</li>

Applicant must meet the following qualifications:

<li>Availability between 9:00am-4:00pm Monday-Friday and one weekend a quarter (four times a year)</li>
<li>Able to make a long-term commitment</li>

Job DescriptionPuppy Luv Pet Services is currently seeking a dedicated part-time Dog Walker/Pet Sitter to join our team in the Arlington, Virginia and Washington, DC areas. This is an on-call position, with dog walkers responsible for providing daily exercise and walks for our clients' dogs, typically in 15 to 60-minute increments. In addition to walks, dog walkers may also be tasked with ensuring that each dog’s basic needs are met, including checking food and water supplies after exercise. Key Responsibilities: As a dog walker at Pawsitive Dawg Walking and Pet Sitting, your role is crucial in ensuring the happiness and health of the dogs under your care. Here's what you'll be doing:

Weather Warrior: Be prepared to conquer all New England weather conditions, from rain and wind to sleet and snow. You'll walk dogs for 15 minutes up to an hour at a time, covering up to 6 miles per day.

Prompt Communication: Respond promptly and efficiently to all inquiries from our team. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must, as you'll be in direct contact with clients and our Pet Care Manager.

<li>
Dependable and Positive: We're looking for individuals who are extremely organized, dependable, self-motivated, and, most importantly, have a positive attitude. Following a schedule provided by the Pet Care Manager is essential.

<li>
Animal Advocate: Give every pet your undivided attention and shower them with love during your assigned visit. You'll also provide pick-up and drop-off services for individual dog hikes, solo on-leash neighborhood walks, and group on-leash neighborhood walks.
</li>
<li>
Safety First: Maintain control and ensure the safety of all animals under your watch. Security is paramount when visiting our clients' homes, and you'll be responsible for maintaining it.
</li>
<li>
Clean and Green: Pick up and properly dispose of all pet waste during your visits, keeping the environment clean and safe.
</li>
<li>
Daily Updates: After each visit, you'll provide a daily note in our scheduling app, complete with a photo to confirm services and update both the owner and Pawsitive Dawg about your visit.

Compensation:

<li>Competitive compensation (depends on experience) paid weekly. </li>
<li>Starting pay ranges between $16-$22/hr</li>
<li>We pay you by the service (commission) + mileage reimbursement + cell phone stipend + 100% tips.</li>

<li>You can make extra money if you are willing to provide pet sitting services (dogs and cats) and pick up extra hours, provide overnights, or work on weekends.</li>

<li>Must have a car with valid driver's license and automobile insurance</li>
<li>We assign dog walks within 5 miles of our staff's home so employees must live within 15 minutes of our service area (Waltham, Belmont, Watertown, Newton, Lexington, Lincoln, or Weston)</li>

<li>Dog walking staff must commit to always being available for last minute walks (unless sick or previously requested off) during their agreed upon hours</li>

Job Summary
We’re currently hiring a part-time Pet Care Technician to join our weekday pack in Metro Detroit. This role is ideal for active retirees who want to stay busy, get outdoors, connect with pets, and make a meaningful difference — all while working Monday–Friday between 9am and 4pm, with occasional weekend options. You’ll be responsible for walking dogs, caring for cats and other pets, and making pet parents’ lives a little easier (and a lot more joyful).

Responsibilities and Duties

Qualifications and Skills
Required:
