<li>Assist with maintenance of electronic medical records. Copies, scans, faxes, and distributes documents in a timely and appropriate manner.

<li>Assures patient hydration and nutrition needs are met by assisting with meal trays, nourishment, and feeding</li>
<li>Obtains vital signs, intake and output, and weights, and records with accuracy. Reports results to appropriate personnel.</li>
<li>Assists with ambulation, lifting and positioning according to facility procedure, including the appropriate use of patient lift devices and use of good body mechanics.</li>
<li>Provides safe transportation for patients by wheelchair, cart and/or ambulation.</li>
<li>Collects sputum, urine and stool specimens. Correctly instructs the patient on proper specimen collection technique(s).</li>
<li>Participates as a member of the team in Hourly Patient Rounds to proactively address patient needs.</li>
<li>Reports any observations and/or symptoms indicative of change in patient status, adverse reaction to treatments to the patients' nurse in a prompt manner. </li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>Documents all patient data collected in the electronic health record and/or on worksheets accurately, completely, and in a timely manner.</li>
<li>Contributes to a safe, effective, and sanitary patient care environment.
<ul>
<li>Keeps room neat, tidy, and free of clutter</li>
<li>Removes trash and soiled linen from rooms each shift and as needed</li>
<li>Completes room cleaning according to established procedures as needed.</li>
<li>Utilizes Standard Precautions and infection control guidelines correctly and consistently.</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>Prepares patient care areas and equipment to facilitate patient care and treatment
<ul>
<li>Prepares rooms and medical equipment for use</li>
<li>Restocks and distributes patient care supplies and clean linens as needed.</li>
<li>Maintains knowledge of location for needed equipment and supplies.</li>
<li>Reports equipment needing repairs.</li>
<li>Cleans and stores equipment when no longer needed.</li>
<li>Assists in maintaining organization in storage areas.</li>
</ul>

<li>Performs other duties as assigned.</li>

Hours: Minimum 24 hours/week, Monday-Friday, 6:00am-6:30pm, rotating weekends
 
Education, Experience:
<ul>
<li>High school diploma or equivalent</li>
<li>Previous patient access experience preferred</li>
<li>Previous nurse aide experience preferred</li>
</ul>

Certificates, Licensure, Registrations:
<ul>
<li>Nurse Aide Certification preferred</li>
<li>BLS (Basic Life Support)</li>
</ul>
