Overview
Receivers are responsible for all back room operations. Receivers must be knowledgeable of all back room policies and procedures to properly manage all incoming and outgoing freight shipments and product. Receivers must receive product in a timely manner and work with a high level of accuracy and speed. Receivers must work closely with all departments to ensure all products are merchandised neatly as per the company expectations.
Duties and Responsibilities 
<ul>
<li>Support the “Cavender’s Culture” and drive our Mission, Vision, and Values</li>
<li>Receive and stock merchandise accurately to maximize productivity and efficiency</li>
<li>Receive and process each electronic purchase order accurately (identify and match orders by vendor, style, size, dimension and quantity) to vendor packing slips, notating any and all discrepancies</li>
<li>Receive and process each electronic transfer “IN” document accurately (identify and match each item by style, size, dimension and quantity) to received transfer “OUT” document, notating any and all discrepancies</li>
<li>Properly load barcode ticket printer and perform weekly preventative maintenance on the printer</li>
<li>Print tags from ticket printer on each document type, to include miscellaneous barcode printing</li>
<li>Properly tag merchandise with the appropriate tools and supplies</li>
<li>Inspect footwear for defects and confirm each is properly mated</li>
<li>Proper placement of mate labels</li>
<li>Properly file and manage all paperwork</li>
<li>Properly maintain and manage back stock merchandise movement</li>
<li>Process, maintain and manage return to vender and non-returnable merchandise</li>
<li>Properly handle return to stock merchandise</li>
<li>Receive and manage special order merchandise</li>
<li>Maintain a clean and organized back room at all times</li>
<li>Maintain and manage the flow and filing of all required documents</li>
<li>Properly report receiving, shipping and/or system problems to the proper authorities</li>
<li>Properly train and delegate all aforementioned areas to stockers</li>
<li>Perform all other miscellaneous duties as assigned</li>
<li>Work with supervisors to understand all actions needed to impact the desire goals set by the company. (i.e. Web order completion rate)</li>

Qualifications and Requirements
<ul>
<li>Job requires associate to raise or lower objects from one level to another regularly during shift</li>
<li>Job requires associate, on a regular basis, to carry objects up to 50 lbs</li>
<li>Job requires that the associate regularly pick up objects up to 50 lbs</li>
<li>Ability to comprehend basic instructions</li>
<li>Ability to interpret documents</li>
<li>Ability to apply abstract principles to a wide range of complex tasks</li>
<li>Ability to understand the meanings of words and effectively respond</li>
<li>Associate must be able to read English.</li>
<li>Associate must be able to understand English</li>
<li>Associate must be able to stay alert during work hours assigned</li>

CPI Composite Structures is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Shipper/Receiver to join our team. In this hands-on role, you will be directly involved in ensuring our products are prepared for shipping to our customers using the highest quality standards, as well as receive and process incoming material. This position is on site at our Hudson Manufacturing facility.
Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>This is an on-site position at our Hudson, Massachusetts facility</li>
<li> Hours are 7:30 am - 4:00 pm </li>
<li>Flexibility to change course base on priorities, including possible overtime to cover late shipments</li>
<li>Effectively work in a team-based environment and willingness to flex to where the work is (not just on the dock)</li>
<li>Prepare merchandise for shipping; maintain records, check invoices and bills of lading</li>
<li>Process outgoing shipments</li>
<li>Uses computer system for processing, tracking, logging, verifying, and reporting</li>
<li>Processes shipment of items on system, process freight bills, packing sheets, and other documents</li>
<li>Solid ability to communicate effectively cross-functionally, including with management, Security, and Quality, as well as with customers and vendors</li>
<li>Need to be able to lift 70 pounds</li>
<li>Fork truck experience preferred or willing to learn</li>
<li>Current driver's license with good driving record; will drive company vehicle periodically (transferring material locally)</li>
<li>Will be expected to perform assembly &amp; basic wood working, including hand tools and basic power tools</li>
<li>$22.00 - $24.00 per hour</li>
<li>Shipping background is preferred, and should be fluent in basic PC and MS Office, and ERP and Carrier systems are a plus</li>
<li>Will be expected to wear steel-toe / protective footwear</li>
<li>US Citizen or Permanent Resident </li>
</ul>
Education
<ul>
<li>High School Diploma or equivalent is required plus a minimum of 4 years of related experience.</li>
<li>An AA Degree or certification in assigned area is preferred if appropriate.</li>
</ul>

<li>Bending, squatting, standing, climbing, and walking may be required</li>
