International Health and Medical Services is looking for an experienced Psychiatric Advanced Practice Provider to assess, diagnose, and treat mental health disorders among patients, ensuring they receive appropriate psychiatric care and support. This role includes collaborating with the healthcare team to implement treatment plans, monitor progress, and provide crisis intervention as needed, fostering mental health and well-being.&nbsp;
Key Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Provides direct psychiatric care to patients via onsite and telepsychiatry services for scheduled appointments, emergency, or urgent care visit.&nbsp;</li>

There will be challenges:
<ul>
<li>Just like families, disabilities come in different types. You will see many of them along with the mental health challenges in the Individuals (aka the Program participants) that we serve. You will also learn about the different agencies and resources we work with to help you provide support directly, or indirectly, to the Individuals. </li>
</ul>
 
There will be chores: 
<ul>
<li>Your work will directly improve the quality of life for the Individuals you support. You will learn techniques to help them have positive interactions with others and reach their goals. You will assist Individuals with their personal needs (e.g., hygiene matters like baths/showers, changing clothes/adult briefs, teeth brushing, medication reminders, etc.) and with social needs (e.g., prepare meals, clean, and engage with them through exercise/movement, games and/or transporting them in your, or company, vehicle to community activities, etc.).</li>
<li>You will also keep accurate progress notes and proactively communicate information with your team about the Individuals’ needs – taking care of them like you would with your own family.</li>
</ul>
There will be chats, C.A.R.E., &amp; cheers: 
<ul>
<li>You will participate in all required training, team, and company meetings to build your knowledge, skills, and abilities to grow in the family. We like to promote from within our own house!</li>
<li>You will take ownership of your own behaviors, and help coach others over time, in how to effectively demonstrate the company’s C.A.R.E. values (compassion, adaptability, respect, and empowerment).</li>
<li>You will receive ongoing coaching and performance feedback and be recognized for your personal and team contributions in addition to demonstrating the C.A.R.E. values.</li>
</ul>

<li>Minimum years of experience required: 1 year of Behavioral Health nursing required

<li>Pediatric BH exp preferred&nbsp;– send to manager for approval if candidate does not have Peds experience</li>

<li>Peds:&nbsp;Common diagnoses include, but are not limited to: Eating Disorders, Depression, Suicidal Ideation, Anxiety, Schizophrenia, Bipolar Disorder, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Gender Dysphoria</li>
<li>Adults:&nbsp;most commonly&nbsp;Schizophrenia, MDD, Bipolar Disorder; also will see Eating Disorders, Suicidal Ideation, Anxiety
<ul>
<li>No forensic patients or inmates – this facility is locked but not to the extent of holding patients under arrest</li>
<li>Seclusion rooms are used when necessary</li>
<li>Occasionally will see Substance Use Disorder or Detoxing patients on CIWA, but they must be medically cleared</li>
<li>Will provide traditional medical and psychiatric care in addition to specialized therapies such as: pet therapy, group sessions, community gardens</li>
