Customer Service Representatives receive and respond to calls from customers based on designated department, serving as the first point of contact for customers to resolve customer issues. Requirements:

Job Summary:
The Customer Service Representative is the first person most customers communicate with when they have a problem. The Customer Service Representative must handle complaints, provide appropriate solutions for customers, and follow up to resolve any issues their customers experience.
 
Duties/Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Performs miscellaneous duties and projects as assigned and required. .</li>
<li>Maintain computer system for customer scheduling information, EDI systems and barcoding.</li>
<li>Receive and communicate customer schedules to appropriate personnel.</li>
<li>Communicate shipping promises to customers in a professional manner.</li>
<li>Maintain cumulative shipping and reconciliation records.</li>
<li>Transmit ASN's per customer requirements.</li>
<li>Prepare shipping schedules and communicate too appropriate customers and Monroe personnel.</li>
<li>Prepare shipping transactions and organize routing and transportation.</li>
<li>Assist accounting with A/R books/open invoices, remittances, debit/credit memos, and past due collections. </li>
<li> Assist in other areas as need where experience and computer skills would apply. </li>
<li>Serves customers by providing product and service information and resolving product and service problems.</li>
<li>Attracts potential customers by answering product and service questions and suggesting information about other products and services.</li>
<li>Opens customer accounts by recording account information.</li>
<li>Maintains customer records by updating account information.</li>
<li>Resolve product or service problems by clarifying the customer’s complaint, determining the cause of the problem, selecting and explaining the best solution to solve the problem, expediting correction or adjustment, and following up to ensure resolution.</li>
<li>Maintains financial accounts by processing customer adjustments.</li>
<li>Recommends potential products or services to management by collecting customer information and analyzing customer needs.</li>
<li>Prepares product or service reports by collecting and analyzing customer information.</li>
<li>Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.</li>

Education and Experience:

<li>Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school and six months related experience; or High School Diploma/GED and two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.</li>
<li>Experience with Plex preferred</li>
</ul>
Physical Requirements: 
<ul>
<li>Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.</li>
<li>Must be able to lift 25 pounds at times. </li>
