We're looking for a motivated Sales Engineer to lead direct business development efforts for automation products. In this role, you'll identify and engage new customers, manage key accounts, and work closely with internal teams to support customer success and revenue growth.

Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (required)</li>
<li>5+ years of experience selling industrial automation products (e.g., VFDs, PLCs, HMIs, motors, servos)</li>
<li>Experience selling into industries like Food &amp; Beverage, other manufacturing, logistics, HVACR, or pumping</li>
<li>Proven ability to develop account strategies and grow customer relationships</li>
<li>Willing and able to travel approximately 50% of the time, including domestic and international trips</li>
<li>Strong communication and presentation skills</li>
<li>Self-starter with strong time management and minimal need for supervision</li>
<li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)</li>
<li>Fluent in Mandarin is a plus</li>

As a Sales Engineer with PenTeleData, you will be the post-sales technical side for our fiber customers. You will interact daily with customers as their technical lead in configurations and service implementation as well as interfacing with the PenTeleData Sales team. You will interact with a range of Cisco products and services to provide the solutions our customers are looking for.
 
Qualifications:

<li>Associates Degree in Computer Science or related field</li>
<li>Minimum 3 Years experience in related field</li>
<li>Valid PA Driver's License and good driving record</li>
<li>Established residency in Pennsylvania</li>
</ul>
 
The technical, or hard skills we need run the gamut: 
<ul>
<li>Basic networking knowledge including understanding of the TCP/IP protocols, subnetting, IPv6</li>
<li>Basic understanding of IP routing (Static and BGP)</li>
<li>Some understanding of how an HFC network operates from the data side</li>
<li>Familiarity with DHCP and how it works.</li>
<li>Ability to present facts and ideas verbally and written in a logical, sequential, and understandable manner.</li>
<li>Ability to remain technical while using layman terms with non-technical customers.</li>
<li>Some experience with Cisco CLI (IOS, XE, XR) languages and WebUIs (ASDM, CCP)</li>
<li>Must be self-motivated and able to operate with little supervision </li>
</ul>
The non-technical, or soft skills needed include:

<li>Hi-level Project Management Skills - for customer turn-ups and changes</li>

<li>Network Security experience from designing to implementing policies</li>
<li>Working experience with SDWAN technologies</li>
<li>Understanding NAT and how to configure it on Cisco devices; this includes Static and Dynamic NAT and the ability to explain it to customers</li>
<li>Working knowledge of Cisco Meraki and ASA product line and configuration of VPN's</li>
<li>Understanding of the Cisco ISR product line and Cisco 8000/9000 series</li>
<li>Familiarity Ethernet and Metro Ethernet standards</li>
<li>Ability to present to groups of people</li>
</ul>
