Job Summary:

We are seeking an energetic, dedicated person to fill a Charge Registered Nurse position at our dialysis clinic in Soldotna, Alaska. The Charge Nurse (CN) is a vital part of the clinical team, working closely with the Clinical Manager to direct and manage clinical activities through direct supervision. The primary responsibilities of this position are:

<li>Is responsible for all aspects of patient care, either directly or through delegation, including, but not limited to: new patient admissions; patient transfers and discharges; nursing assessments, (both initial and pre/post each treatment), monthly nurses notes that are reflective of the patient’s Plan of Care; initiation, monitoring and terminating dialysis, per Policy and Physician Orders. </li>
<li>Completes daily rounds on all patients to ensure their needs are met; to solicit, identify and correct patient grievances and to ensure that staff is delivering physician prescriptions to all patients. Uses rounding opportunities to mentor nurses and dialysis technicians in clinical management of the dialysis patient.</li>

Job Summary
NW Asthma &amp; Allergy Center is looking for a Floor Nurse to help deliver quality patient care at our Redmond clinic. Working closely with the attendant physician, the floor nurse helps to ensure smooth clinic operations and positive patient experience. This role manages clinical triage, handles prior authorizations, and provides leadership and support to medical assistants as part of the clinical support team.
 
Key Responsibilities:
 
Patient Care:

<li>Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients with asthma and allergies.</li>
<li>Perform patient assessments, administer medications, and monitor responses.</li>
<li>Educate patients on self-care management, follow-up appointments, and when to seek additional care.</li>
</ul>
Clinical Triage:
<ul>
<li>Act as a primary contact for triage, ensuring efficient handling and escalation of patient cases.</li>
<li>Conduct telephone triage, assessing patients' needs over the phone and providing appropriate guidance or referrals.</li>
</ul>
Clinical Documentation:
<ul>
<li>Maintain accurate and current patient records in the electronic health record (EHR) system.</li>
<li>Document patient interactions, treatments, and outcomes accurately and promptly.</li>
<li>Complete and submit prior authorization requests for medications.</li>
<li>Communicate with insurance companies to secure timely medication approvals.</li>
<li>Maintain records of prior authorization submissions and follow-ups.</li>

Team Collaboration:
<ul>
<li>Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.</li>
<li>Perform as a clinical lead in your assigned office setting.</li>
<li>Participate in team meetings and contribute to care plan and clinical protocol development.</li>
<li>Act as a resource for our clinical support staff, offering guidance and support on complex cases.</li>
<li>Assist in the training of new clinical staff, ensuring they are familiar with clinical protocols and procedures.</li>

Quality Improvement:

Responsibilities will be assigned and carried out in accordance with the applicant's scope of practice as defined by their licensure, whether LPN or RN.
Requirements:
Education:
