The CTE and Cisco Academy Director's role will be key in establishing research and developing multiple technology certification programs that students can access at the AECP high school. As the Cisco Academy director, you will direct CCNA, CCNP, CCIE courses, support with internship and job placement, and on-time graduation.
The CTE and Cisco Academy Director works closely with the middle &amp; high school Principals and reports to the School Leadership Team (as appropriate).
The successful candidate will understand technology and its fast-changing landscape and will be passionate about bridging the digital divide for Black and Brown students. Academy Program Design and Leadership

<li>Working knowledge of networking hardware and topologies</li>
<li>Familiarity with telecommunication cabling standards, ability to pull and terminate cabling in a variety of customer environments preferred</li>
<li>Familiarity with Cisco networking products and interfacing through Cisco CLI a plus</li>
<li>Knowledge of computing systems hardware</li>
<li>Experience with LEC circuit identification and extensions</li>
<li>Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel &amp; Word)</li>
<li>Ability to follow detailed job documents</li>
<li>Must be willing to travel within assigned region to meet customer SLA’s</li>
<li>On-call, after hours and weekend work may be required </li>

To be eligible for this role you must have a clear driver’s license (no more than 4 points), have the Covid-19 vaccination, and willing to work mostly M-F with opportunity for overtime and call out pay after hours. This position often works alone, and qualified applicants must be able to lift up to fifty pounds above head and climb a ladder. 
Selected candidates are given a full week of paid training and support as needed for every job they are routed to.
