How will I contribute

Under the administrative supervision of the Program Director or designee, this at-will direct service position is responsible for providing psychosocial, rehabilitation and recovery-oriented services for Turning Point members. This position also involves advocating for members in all areas of treatment and helping them apply for and receive services. Additional support in the areas of medication management, resource connection (e.g., housing resources, AOD, PCP, OP, etc.), counseling and advocacy will be provided as needed. Involves providing after hours, “on-call” coverage on a rotational basis based on program needs.

Summary/Objective:
Behavioral Health Specialists are a key component of the interdisciplinary team that provide support services for clients addicted to alcohol and other drugs during the first year of their recovery. The overall goal of the BHS is to monitor behaviors, care for and provide assistance to clients in early abstinence. BHS’s will perform functions efficiently and thoroughly to assure that the program runs smoothly and that the staff are supported during the admission process, day to day clinical activities and discharge. Essential Functions 1. ­­Relates to clients and colleagues in a compassionate, professional, and respectful manner as measured by observed interactions. 2. Assures safety and support to all clients admitted to The Dimock Center. 3.
