JOB SUMMARY:

Prepares for and testifies in judicial proceedings.
Presents crime prevention and safety programs to schools and other organizations, including: scheduling classes; ordering books and supplies; preparing lessons and handouts; teaching classes; and planning special events, meetings, graduations, fund raisers, etc., related to programs.
Coordinates auxiliary force activities, including: planning, preparing and supervising training, meetings, civic projects and fund-raising functions and conducting interviews and background checks of applicants.
Assists other officers or agencies by responding to calls and serving as backup.
May respond to fires.
Provides traffic directions and escort for events; transports prisoners/witnesses.
Provides assistance to motorists.
May serve on special squads/teams.
Performs maintenance and minor repairs on assigned vehicle and equipment; inspects and tests equipment to assure safety.
