You will work with our amazing surgeons who perform over 400 surgeries per month including cataract, oculoplastic, vitrectomy, glaucoma, and cornea procedures. You will assist our surgeons as part of the team that restores sight for our patients! This is a working leader role, where you will rotate among Pre-Op, OR, and PACU stations. You will lead by example and coach your Nursing team to perform safely and efficiently. 
In this position, you will oversee RN and non RN staff, schedule staff, supervise the ordering of supplies, and handle facility maintenance issues. You will lead your team to ensure that the ASC is survey ready, operating safely and efficiently at all times. In this role, you will be on your feet 8 hours per day working, leading by example, and coaching employees to achieve outstanding performance.
Responsibilities

Qualifications:

<li>Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.</li>
<li>Valid LPN or RN registration.</li>
<li>2 to 5 years nursing supervisory experience.</li>
<li>Understanding of local, state, and national laws and regulations.</li>
<li>Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with a team.</li>

What You'll Do:

<li>Oversee care of residents in community.</li>
<li>Lead nurses and caregivers in delivering excellent care and offer quality support.</li>
<li>Work with HR to hire and develop nursing and care staff.</li>
<li>Assist in the disciplinary action of staff as needed.</li>
<li>Manage nursing and caregiving schedules to ensure 24/7 coverage for resident care.</li>
<li>Ensure all nurses and caregivers are compliant with local, state, and federal regulations.</li>
<li>Maintain current task list for caregivers and update ADL changes as they occur.</li>
<li>Provide assessments for potential residents.</li>
<li>Order and maintain nursing supplies.</li>
<li>Track and record incident reports and assure incident investigations are completed.</li>
<li>General record keeping and filing.</li>
<li>Provide direct care and administer medication as needed.</li>
<li>Maintain monthly budget.</li>
<li>Be available to the community as needed.</li>
</ul>
General Working Conditions:
The Director of Nursing reports directly to the Executive Director. Typically, the Director of Nursing is on-site for 8-hour shifts Monday through Friday. It is expected that the Director of Nursing will be added to the rotating Manager on Duty schedule and will be available to work weekends in accordance with that schedule. The Director of Nursing is expected to be available as the community needs.
