Qualifications

Education &amp; Certification:

Master’s Degree in Nursing (MSN) or equivalent education in Physician Assistant or Nurse Midwifery programs.

Minimum of three years experience as a Nurse Practitioner, Physician assistant or Nurse Midwife preferred.

Active and unrestricted Tennessee Nursing License.

Providence Mother and Baby Clinics is seeking an On-Call Certified Nurse Midwife or Family Nurse Practitioner to join their skilled and compassionate team of Lactation Consultants. In this role, you will serve recently delivered mother/baby couplets during the postpartum period in a lactation focused outpatient practice. You will work closely with pediatricians and OB/GYN providers to provide post discharge follow up of both mother and infant with ongoing lactation support for families who elect to breastfeed. This on-call position requires a minimum commitment of 4 days per month including 2 full weekends (Saturday and Sunday) each month, and coverage of one summer and one winter holiday required. There is no after-hours call. The Lactation Consultants provide coverage at Providence Portland Medical Center, Providence St. Vincent Medical Center, Providence Reeds Crossing Clinic, and Providence Willamette Falls.
