Overview
We are seeking a dynamic Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team, meeting our stringent quality standards. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

<li>Ensuring compliance with all health care regulations, including JCAHO, HIPAA and OSHA</li>
<li>Performing nursing tasks, demonstrating clinical competency as an LPN, including but not limited to: administer medications correctly, set up sterile fields correctly, and perform equipment disinfection and sterilization correctly.</li>
<li>Completing all required documentation accurately, in a timely manner, and thoroughly in accordance with company standards</li>
<li>Communicating effectively with team including physicians, Medical Assistants, Patient Coordinators and others daily clinical and surgical schedule and is able to anticipate appropriately</li>
<li>Documenting clinical and surgical chart notes appropriately and accurately</li>
<li>Ensuring the highest level of patient care and patient service is provided at all times</li>
<li>Consistently following policies and procedures to ensure positive patient outcomes</li>
<li>Increasing physicians' overall patient retention by providing the highest quality patient care and patient experience </li>
<li>Assisting in all aspects of a clinical and surgical environment</li>
<li>Remaining tactful, mature and able to get along with diverse personalities</li>
<li>Completing other projects and/or duties and assume various responsibilities as determined by Clinical Leadership Members</li>

Minimum Job Qualifications:

<li>Current LPN license </li>
<li>Current ACLS and IV certification – or must get upon hiring </li>
<li>Availability to work overtime as needed</li>
<li>Availability to work weekends (Saturdays and/or Sundays) as needed </li>
<li>High energy with a strong focus on patient-care and patient-experience</li>
<li>Ability to function well both independently and as part of a team</li>
<li>Authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis</li>

Summary: The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) coordinates and provides nursing care for residents and provides supervision and guidance to clinical staff members.Qualifications:Education:

Full-time base pay is $27.00 per hour with an additional 5% shift differential for evenings (3p-11p).
SCHEDULE
Mondays and Thursdays 7am - 11pm (16 hours per day).
SUMMARYAssists in the implementation of client care and administers medications according to established protocols on an inpatient mental health crisis stabilization unit.
 JOB FUNCTION

<li>Administers prescribed medication and nursing treatment to consumers in accordance with physician orders and the treatment program.</li>
<li>Educates clients regarding medication compliance and potential side effects.</li>
<li>Assesses and records the consumer response to medication regime.</li>
<li>Participates as an active member of the treatment team. Begins nursing assessment and/or formulates a plan of care as directed by the registered nurse.</li>
<li>Documents pertinent consumer interactions, assessments and responses to interventions, updating the plan of care as needed.</li>
<li>Assists RN with completion of hourly rounds in ObservSmart.</li>

EDUCATION &amp; EXPERIENCEMinimum: Licensure as an LPN and documentation of successful completion of a pharmacology course and/or examination.Preferred: Licensure as an LPN and documentation of successful completion of a pharmacology course and/or examination and one (1) year of psychiatric nursing experience in an in-patient or out-patient mental health or substance abuse setting.
 
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSMust be able to sit, twist, bend and stand for long periods. Must be able to transport self from building to building and differing locations. Must be able to communicate orally and in writing. Must be able to perform both verbal and physical Non-Abusive Psychological and Physical Intervention (NAPPI) skills.
 
SPECIAL WORKING CONDITIONSExposure to consumers and all possible program emergencies and conditions, including physical intervention and potential verbal abuse by clients. Possible irregular or extended working hours if/when the need arises.
