About the Role:
The Sales Engineer is responsible for presenting and highlighting defi’s software solutions to prospective and current clients.

<li>Successfully demonstrate defi’s solution capabilities to prospective clients within the context of their lending business via workflow-based presentations and live demos.
<ul>
<li>Able to configure / customize demo environments (either individually or working with a team)</li>
<li>Maintain data integrity within demo environment and continually update software to build historical trends and reporting </li>
<li>Present, listen, create architectures, demo solutions, discuss ideas and solve problems</li>
<li>Listen, discuss ideas and solve problems for lenders, creating solution designs you can demonstrate to prove solution values to clients/prospects.</li>
<li>Understand and articulate value proposition of software products to help attract, engage and retain prospects/clients</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>Effectively collaborate with sales teams (including cross-functional representatives from sales, client services, product management, product strategy and development) in the pursuit of new business opportunities
<ul>
<li>Collaborate within the Sales Enablement team to support training initiatives as requested</li>
<li>Participate in Industry Trade Shows as requested </li>
<li>Serve as a subject matter expert in proposing and presenting defi’s Solutions</li>
<li>Be conversant in both the business and technical aspects of solutions to confidently answer client questions and inquiries</li>
<li>Develops a comprehensive understanding of defi’s solutions </li>
<li>Partner with Product Management to identify market trends, solution benefits and contribute to direction of product roadmap </li>
<li>Document business level requirements for enhancement requests identified during the discovery process</li>
<li>Respond to inbound RFP/RFI inquiries, highlighting how defi’s solutions solve complex lender requirements</li>
<li>Work with sales personnel to develop client-specific solutions to complex problems</li>
<li>Success is measured by deals won in which the Sales Engineer successfully fulfills the position requirements</li>

Required Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>Minimum 2 years' industry experience</li>
<li>Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience</li>
</ul>

Preferred Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>MS Office Suite</li>
<li>SQL Scripting</li>
<li>JavaScript, or exposure to a similar scripting language</li>
<li>Foundational knowledge of cloud based solutions and architecture</li>
<li>Ability to work with SOAP and REST APIs, specifically utilizing XML and JSON </li>
<li>SaaS experience preferred</li>
</ul>
