Responsibilities
Role Overview &amp; Responsibilities for Optometrist:

<li>Conduct comprehensive exams, diagnose, treat and manage age-related ocular diseases, injuries and disorders of the eye.</li>
<li>Traditional daily patient care will also include vision testing and prescribing spectacle lenses.</li>
<li>Complete required patient and clinical documentation in our optometry electronic medical record system.</li>
<li>Responsible for applying proper coding guidelines and populating appropriate billing codes for services provided to patients.</li>
<li>Adheres to OSHA guidelines regarding patient care, disposal of materials, and sterilization of equipment.</li>

SUMMARY

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

<li>This role requires a variety of physical activities to effectively perform essential job functions. The position involves frequent walking (75%), sitting (50%), and standing (50%), with regular bending, stooping, and reaching (25–50%). Employees must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull items up to 25 lbs. Strong fine motor skills and full use of hands are essential, as the role demands constant grasping, writing/typing, and use of technology. Visual and auditory acuity—including color, depth, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus—is required 100% of the time. Occasional driving or climbing may also be necessary. </li>

A successful individual in this role will manage multiple enrollments and priorities while providing support to the Supervisor of Provider Enrollment. 
Duties and Responsibilities

<li>Serve as the first point of contact for internal office and provider requests.</li>
<li>Keep all provider enrollment data up-to-date and current.</li>
<li>Complete re-credentialing paperwork as needed.</li>
<li>Keep all internal enrollment tracking methods up to date.</li>
<li>Detailed understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, and Managed Care Plan regulations</li>
<li>Keep CAQH and NPPES updated with accurate and current information.</li>
<li>Maintain constant contact with insurance payer representatives.</li>
<li>Communicate enrollment updates and issues to leadership.</li>
<li>Follow up with payers on outstanding enrollments on a weekly basis.</li>
<li>Maintain all demographic changes for all providers.</li>
<li>Maintain all hospital appointments and re-appointments. </li>
<li>Performs other duties that may be necessary or in the best interest of the organization</li>

Education:
