SUMMARY
South Denver OBGYN and Midwives is looking for a CNM with a strong team spirit and a passion for birth to join our practice full-time. We work within a private OBGYN group with very supportive physicians who truly understand the Midwifery Model of care. In addition Littleton Hospital supports low intervention birth which creates a team spirit with the nurses and our Midwives. South Denver OBGYN is a member of the OnPoint Medical Group Network.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
<ul>
<li>Provide full-scope midwifery care including independent management of women’s health care focusing primarily on pregnancy, birth, postpartum as well as family planning, gynecological and primary care of women.</li>
<li>Practice that provides for consultation, collaborative management or referral to obstetrics, perinatology, and other specialties as indicated by client health status</li>
<li>Manage hospital labor assessment and admission, normal and abnormal labor, cervical ripening and labor induction, postpartum care and discharge.</li>
<li>Perform vaginal birth and laceration repair, limited 1st trimester and 3rd trimester OB ultrasounds as appropriate to training and experience, C-section first surgical assist, and IUD and subdermal contraceptive implant insertion and removal.</li>
<li>Maintain medical records according to community standards of practice.</li>
</ul>
EDUCATION:
<ul>
<li>Masters or Doctorate Degree in Nurse-Midwifery or Midwifery required.</li>
</ul>
LICENSE AND CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

<li>Current CNM (Certified Nurse Midwife) certification</li>
<li>Current Registered Nurse (RN) License for the State of Colorado</li>
<li>Current Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) license for the State of Colorado with prescriptive authority</li>

<li>Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) certification</li>

WORK EXPEREINCE AND OTHER QAILIFICATIONS:

Responsibilities:

Schedule: We offer flexible schedules ranging from 16-40 hours per week, Monday–Friday.
 
Compensation: $67.37 – $85.35 per hour ($140,129.60 – $177,528.00 annually), plus a a signing bonus!

TVHC's Forgivable Loan Program:

Federal and State Loan Programs:
TVHC is designated as both a Medically Underserved Area (MUA) and a Health Professional Shortage Area (HPSA), making employees eligible to apply for the National Health Service Corps (NHSC) and other federal and state loan repayment and forgiveness programs available to qualifying healthcare professionals.
 
Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Performs health assessments, including a thorough history and physical examination, ordering or performing certain diagnostic tests, medication orders, evaluation of psychosocial and family aspects of the situation sufficient to make a general health assessment, and diagnose the nature of common acute and chronic conditions, and any necessary follow-up care.</li>
<li>Promotes and maintains periodic health assessments and preventive screening, assessment and guidance with regard to health hazards, good family health habits and family planning.</li>
<li>Manages common acute and chronic illnesses, and initiation of life-saving procedures in emergencies.</li>
<li>Provides various clinical oversight of NP/PA trainees, NP residents, and/or new providers. Directs medical assistants, lab personnel, and other non-professional medical staff as appropriate.</li>
<li>From time to time may provide in-service training for staff in selected topics within scope of practice of medicine as appropriate, and/or as deemed necessary by the CMO or his/her designee.</li>
<li>Performs all duties for successful electronic health records maintenance including but not limited to: completion of medical records and documentation management of Inbox and results, coding, and signing off charts within the designated time set by the organization.</li>
<li>Assists in internal quality control audits, performs and maintains the standards of quality of care based on specialty and organizational standards.</li>
<li>Discusses or refers as needed, complex and high priority patient cases.</li>
<li>Performs all duties and services in full compliance with the organization’s Service Excellence Standards. Adheres to all canons of ethics including the organization’s code of conduct for clinical providers.</li>
<li>Demonstration of patterns of continued learning in order to ensure growth as a practitioner.</li>
<li>Attends internal and external meetings, workshops, and conferences, and participates on task forces or committees, as necessary and/or required by TVHC, Inc.</li>
<li>Provides additional assistance within and outside of clinical arena, as requested and/or as appropriate, to ensure the ongoing success of the organization.</li>
<li>Works as a member of the health care team and assists in education of patients and the community in preventive health care and health maintenance concepts.</li>
<li>Other duties or responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.</li>
</ul>
Requirements:
<ul>
<li>Board Certified/Eligible in designated specialty field of practice is required.</li>
<li>Must be in possession of a current medical license to practice in the State of California, including DEA license, and CPR.</li>
<li>Previous experience providing medical care within a community health setting preferred.</li>
</ul>
