Job Summary
We’re hiring a part-time Pet Care Technician who’s excited to grow. This role is perfect for someone transitioning from another field — especially with management or client service experience — and ready to build a long-term career in pet care.
You’ll start at the entry level with hands-on dog walking and pet sitting responsibilities, and you’ll work your way up through our structured certification ladder. You’ll learn the ropes, earn credentials, and have the opportunity to grow into leadership roles within our company.
Location: Metro Detroit (Birmingham, Troy, Bloomfield Hills, Franklin, West Bloomfield, and surrounding areas) Schedule: Part-time to Full-Time, primarily Monday–Friday from 9am–4pm, with some evenings and weekends&nbsp;
Responsibilities and Duties
<ul>

Provide structured, safety-focused dog walks and in-home pet care
</li>
<li>
Follow detailed care instructions and document each visit using Time to Pet
</li>
<li>
Communicate clearly with clients and teammates using Slack and mobile tools
</li>
<li>
Take and upload visit photos with clear, kind service reports
</li>
<li>
Use judgment and care when noticing behavioral or health changes in pets
</li>
<li>
Uphold all policies and procedures — safety, scheduling, communication, and care standards
</li>
<li>
Learn and grow through certification tracks in behavior, enrichment, and leadership
</li>
<li>
Be open to split shifts or occasional evenings as you progress into more advanced roles
</li>
</ul>
Qualifications and Skills
Required:
<ul>
<li>
Prior professional experience (ideally in management or customer service)
</li>
<li>
Strong work ethic, self-starter mentality, and a growth mindset
</li>
<li>
Comfort with technology (Slack, mobile apps, time tracking, AI-based tools)
</li>
<li>
Excellent communication and time management skills
</li>
<li>
Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and a smartphone
</li>
<li>
Availability Monday–Friday from 9am–4pm with optional weekend shifts
</li>
<li>
Physically able to walk dogs and manage active visits outdoors
</li>
</ul>

Previous pet care, pet store, or rescue experience

We’re on the hunt for an experienced and reliable Dog Walker to care for our clients' beloved pups. As a valued team member, you’ll be getting fresh air, daily exercise, and lots of tail wags while ensuring pets get the attention and exercise they need.
What You’ll Do:
🐶 Take dogs on fun and safe walks (rain or shine!) 🐾 Handle a variety of breeds, sizes, and temperaments 📲 Communicate with pet owners through our Time to Pet app 💩 Clean up after pets (yep, it’s part of the gig!) 🥘 Provide meals and fresh water when needed 👀 Keep an eye out for any signs of medical issues
What We’re Looking For:
✅ A true dog lover with prior experience handling pets ✅ Reliable, self-motivated, and responsible ✅ Able to confidently walk larger, strong dogs ✅ Familiar with basic dog obedience and leash/harness handling ✅ Physically able to walk, run, bend, and lift up to 30 lbs ✅ Own a reliable car &amp; valid driver’s license ✅ Have a smartphone &amp; computer for scheduling and updates ✅ Must pass a background check &amp; drug test ✅ Live in Marietta, Roswell, Sandy Springs, or Woodstock

Schedule &amp; Commitment:
🕗 Midday shifts available: Monday – Friday, 8 AM – 3 PM 📅 Minimum 6-month commitment required (or reimbursement for training &amp; background check applies)
