Summary Description:

&nbsp;LifeVest®&nbsp; is worn by patients at risk for sudden cardiac arrest (SCA), providing protection during their changing condition.&nbsp; It is lightweight and easy to wear, allowing patients to return to their common activities of daily living, while having the peace of mind that they are protected from SCA. &nbsp;
This is the perfect opportunity for the health professional with patient care and teaching experience to supplement his or her income. A typical LifeVest® patient is in the hospital awaiting discharge, and the Patient Service Representative sets up the equipment and trains the patient and caregivers on the&nbsp; use and care of the device. They also follow up with patients as needed to assure patient understanding and satisfaction. PSRs retain the flexibility to accept or decline assignments as their schedules dictate. Most assignments can be scheduled during free time – before/after work, and on days off.
Responsibilities:

<li>Contact caregivers and family to schedule services </li>
<li>Willingness to accept assignments which could include daytime, evenings, and/or weekends.&nbsp; </li>
<li>Travel to patient’s homes and health care facilities &nbsp;to provide services </li>

Retina Consultants of Minnesota (RCM)&nbsp; is seeking outgoing, patient focused individuals to work as a Patient Service Representative&nbsp;(PSR).

We are looking for an organized Patient Service Representative to join our medical practice. You will be responsible for an array of activities related to patient intake and care, including greeting and checking-in patients, as well as verifying information supplied by patients. You should be able to work in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate exceptional multitasking abilities.
To be successful as a Patient Service Representative, you must be able to facilitate and coordinate communication between patients, family members, and medical staff.
Main Patient Service Representative Responsibilities include:
<ul>
<li>Answer multi-line phones and either direct the caller to the appropriate party or handle the caller's needs yourself</li>
<li>Greet patients upon arrival, sign them in and obtain insurance information and any other necessary data</li>
<li>Provide patients with intake and new patient forms as well as copies of our office policies and legally required documents</li>
<li>Process payments from patients for co-pays and uninsured visits</li>
<li>Schedule appointments for new and recurring patients based on Physician availability</li>
<li>Maintain hard copy patient records as well as the files stored in our EHR</li>
<li>Call patients to remind them of upcoming appointments and to help them schedule testing for off-site services</li>
<li>Provide patients with support and guidance as needed</li>

Required Skills, Abilities and Attributes for Patient Service Representative include:
