OMC is committed to the development and training of healthcare workers and will provide related educational opportunities, provided that these do not impair its ability to effectively deliver safe, high quality patient care. Students must be enrolled in a bona fide academic program requiring a clinical experience in order to be eligible to participate in educational activities at OMC. 
Students must complete an “Immunization Summary” and a “Tuberculosis Screening Questionnaire,” or their equivalents, after beginning an OMC-sponsored educational experience.
Students must complete student orientation and sign off on the training which includes a confidentiality statement and an acknowledgement of HIPAA training.
Student opportunities will require a valid Affiliation Agreement from a student's educational institution to be on file prior to beginning their educational experience.

Job DescriptionPer Diem Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) – Norwalk Hospital, Connecticut (One hour from NYC)&nbsp;&nbsp;Norwalk Hospital of Nuvance Health, is seeking a per diem Certified Nurse Midwife, to join our OB/GYN program in Norwalk, Connecticut. This is a brand new position due to practice growth. Norwalk is located about one hour northeast of New York City along the Long Island Sound in suburban Fairfield County, CT. Our team of midwives, backed up by our OB/GYN hospitalists, take first call and will follow up with patients in the office. The midwives are First Assist on C/Sections. &nbsp;Norwalk hospital sees approximately 1,100 deliveries a year and has a Level II NICU, as well as excellent specialty backup, including Maternal Fetal Medicine and Gyn Oncology. The team of five Certified Nurse Midwives cover about 330-400 deliveries per year. The CNMs provide 24-hr phone triage for the clinic. This is an employed position with Nuvance Health Medical Practice covering two offices. The CNMs also deliver patients from the Norwalk Community Health Center.&nbsp;&nbsp;Established in 1893, Norwalk Hospital is a 366-bed community hospital with a Level II Trauma Center.
