Dominican University (DU) invites applications and nominations for the role of Interim Program Director of the Physician Assistant Studies (PAS) Program in the Borra College of Health Sciences. The Interim Program Director will provide leadership, administrative oversight and oversee all aspects of the PAS program including organization, administration, fiscal management, ongoing review and assessment, program planning and development and continuing accreditation with ARC-PA. The successful candidate will also be responsible for the routine operations of the program including curriculum oversight, scheduling and faculty workload, faculty evaluation, student recruitment and support, and the identification and development of clinical affiliation agreements, working in collaboration with the PAS Director of Clinical Education.&nbsp; The Program Director, reporting to the Dean of the Borra College of Health Sciences, leads the members of the PAS Department which includes the Director of Clinical Education, the Medical Director, and program faculty and staff.&nbsp; There is also an expectation to work with colleagues across the college, university leadership, the program’s Advisory Board and healthcare partners to innovate and promote the program. &nbsp;

JOB COMPONENTS/PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

<li>Provide oversight of program curriculum and policy development and implementation including regular review of student policies in the PAS Student Handbook</li>

<li>Faculty/staff recruitment, hiring, mentoring, evaluation and development</li>
<li>Manage program budget and provide fiscal management</li>

<li>Encourage student excellence in both didactic and clinical years that fosters a positive student experience in the program</li>
<li>Recruit and support a diverse group of students and learners</li>
<li>Work with program faculty, Medical Director to promote and enhance student retention and pathways for remediation</li>
<li>Provide direction for program strategic planning and development, with an attention to the analysis of comprehensive program data</li>
<li>Work with the program directors/chairs and the Director of Simulation Education Center in the Borra College of Health Sciences to develop and implement collaborative interprofessional experiences in the college</li>
<li>Supervision of the medical director, principal and instructional faculty, and staff in activities that directly relate to the PA program including regular review of PAS committee duties and actions</li>
<li>Create and maintain effective relationships with outside stakeholders, particularly for the development and maintenance of clinical affiliations</li>

QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Qualifications
<ul>
<li>A graduate of an accredited physician assistant program with a current NCCPA certification and eligibility for licensure in Illinois</li>
<li>At least seven years of clinical experience as a practicing PA with a thorough understanding of the physician assistant role and practice</li>
<li>Minimum of five years of full-time faculty experience and three years of full-time experience in a PAS program with teaching responsibilities at the graduate level</li>
<li>Previous experience with the ARC-PA accreditation process for physician assistant programs</li>
</ul>
Preferred Qualifications
<ul>
<li>Previous experience in education leadership such as Program Director, Associate Program Director, Academic Director, Clinical Director or another director-level role</li>
<li>Demonstrated leadership in the PAS field; Record of excellence in teaching, scholarship, service and fostering empirical research.</li>
<li>Have a vision and the interpersonal skills to build partnerships within and outside the PAS program, and state and regional partners and stakeholders.</li>

Position Summary
The Office of the General Counsel (OGC) currently consists of 16 attorneys working collaboratively to provide a full range of legal services to Columbia University. &nbsp;OGC is seeking an attorney to work primarily on employment related issues in connection with Columbia University Irving Medical Center (CUIMC).&nbsp; CUIMC is one of the nation’s largest academic medical centers, and includes the Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons, School of Dental Medicine, Mailman School of Public Health and School of Nursing. &nbsp;Experience in employment law is required. Course description:&nbsp;Gross and Developmental Anatomy focuses on the gross structure of organs and their function, and through clinical correlations, relates each to clinical medicine.&nbsp; An Anatomical Learning Resource Center has been established to utilize computer-based instruction, anatomical models, radiographic materials as well as supervised laboratory sessions dissecting various parts of the human body.&nbsp;&nbsp;
Students study the structure and function of all organs with some interaction with cellular structure.&nbsp; This course incorporates an understanding of how embryological processes give rise to the mature body form.&nbsp; When this course is complete, each student will have extensive knowledge of the gross anatomy and development of the entire human body as it relates clinically to the practice of medicine.

Administrative Assistant

<a>Miami Dade College, Medical Campus&nbsp;</a>is now accepting applications for Director of Nursing Clinical Support. The Director of Nursing Clinical Support has a broad range of duties associated with the growth and development of clinical education courses in the School of Nursing, this position provides oversight, in collaboration with Continuing Education, for the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) courses, which includes plans to transition students to credit. This position also coordinates with nursing faculty and leadership to offer certifications for students enrolled in the School of Nursing.
Duties &amp; Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Provides leadership and oversight for the Certified Nursing Assistant program; including working with clinical partners to pursue scholarships and partnership opportunities</li>
<li>Collaborates with the Program Director for Continuing Education in the hiring, onboarding, training, evaluation and scheduling of instructors for CNA</li>
<li>Oversees the curriculum for CNA and special projects as needed to meet accreditation/certification standards and ensure student success</li>
<li>Arranges Prometric Testing in collaboration with the testing center at MDC Medical Campus</li>
<li>Ensures the distribution of pertinent information to students enrolled in the CNA program to transition to degree-seeking programs</li>
<li>Collaborates with funding partners, recruitment, and Program Director of CE to increase enrollment of individuals in the community into the CNA program</li>
<li>Tracks enrollment data, graduation, and certification pass rates of students seeking credentials while identifying barriers to success</li>
<li>Works with the Program Director for Continuing Education to provide CNA program support</li>
<li>Coordinates with the Department Chairs and Director of Clinical Resources to appropriately staff each clinical course utilizing adjunct faculty when appropriate and visits clinical sites to ensure adjunct faculty are working with students to meet course and agency expectation</li>

Minimum Requirements
<ul>
<li>Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) from a regionally accredited institution and three (3) years of experience in nursing education; or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) and seven (7) years of experience in nursing education</li>
<li>Florida license or eligibility for a license as a registered nurse</li>
<li>Knowledge and understanding of College organization, goals and objectives, and policies and procedures</li>
<li>Knowledge of Microsoft office software and specific computer programs related to area of responsibility</li>
<li>Computer fluency and database management skills in field related to Nursing Education</li>
<li>Possess excellent organizational and communication skills (both verbal and written)</li>
<li>Possess effective interpersonal skills</li>
<li>Ability to effectively present information to groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public</li>
<li>Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations</li>

Director of Nursing Clinical Support

Position Description The University of Washington Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology is seeking one (1) full-time academic Anatomic Pathologist in Gastrointestinal (GI), Hepatic and Pancreatic Pathology. The selected candidate will be expected to work with medical students, residents and fellows working on GI pathology clinical services. Participation in autopsy service is expected. Description The University of Washington Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology is seeking one (1) full-time pathologist for appointment to join our Hematopathology Division on the School of Medicine’s clinician-teacher pathway. Clinical responsibilities will include reporting of morphology for lymph nodes, tissues, bloods and marrows, as well as flow cytometry (diagnostic and minimal residual disease testing) and may include molecular diagnostic testing, hemoglobin electrophoresis and coagulation reporting, depending on the interests of the candidate.
