Responsibilities
A Teller Rotating will work in various branch offices in a defined geographical area. A Teller is responsible to create and deliver a positive customer experience while conducting financial transactions. This position requires an individual with a positive attitude, who is a team player, and who is able to actively listen for customer financial needs in order to refer them to the appropriate bank product or bank representative. A Teller must be able to adapt well to the changing workplace environment such as customer service complaints; maintain the security of customer information; prioritize items of significance; and maintain responsibility for assigned cash drawer.

<li>Provide quality customer service and a positive banking experience by handling financial transactions (i.e. cashing checks, handling deposits/withdrawals, etc.) with a professional attitude</li>
<li>Actively listen for potential sales opportunities to promote specific bank products an services, and refer customers accordingly</li>
<li>Conduct customer transactions with accuracy and prepare daily cash balancing within established guidelines</li>
<li>Ability to understand direction and adhere to established policies and procedures</li>

<li>Maintain proficient knowledge of, and demonstrate ongoing compliance with all laws and regulations applicable to this position, ensure ongoing adherence to pertinent policies, procedures and internal controls, and meet all training requirements in a timely manner</li>

Teller Standards and Work Habits

<li>Un-located cash differences, operating losses, and BSA errors (see attached Teller Standards) to be within established limits.</li>
<li>Adhere to Control Consciousness policies and procedures.</li>
<li>Follow branch security procedures in opening, closing, and branch operations.</li>
<li>Under the direction of the CSM, provides support with daily operational tasks. Assigned tasks may include processing Branch Capture, certifications, assisting with cash shipments as well as balancing the ATM and Vault.</li>

PROMOTIONAL GUIDELINES:
Tellers are eligible for promotion based upon the following minimum criteria:
<ul>
<li>Must be in current position for six months.</li>
<li>Performance and minimum referral criteria must be met at least four times during the previous six-month period (refer to the “Minimum Monthly Referrals” matrix in Chapter 18 of the Operations Manual for current referral criteria.</li>
<li>Must not have been on counseling for same six-month period.</li>
<li>Performance appraisal does not contain a “below expectation” and/or “needs improvement” in any rated category.</li>
<li>CSM may require additional training/classes based upon specific branch need.</li>
</ul>
 
Work Environment:

Required Qualifications

BASIC PURPOSE: Provide high quality customer service by accurately and efficiently completing bank transactions as well as identifying products to meet financial needs of bank customers. Other duties may be assigned.
PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

<li>Provide high quality customer service within the branch, including:</li>
<li>Cash checks according to bank policies and procedures</li>
<li>Accept deposits for checking and savings accounts; verify cash and checks received; determine proper short and long-term holds to be placed on deposited funds, in accordance with Regulation CC.</li>
<li>Accept payments for various types of loans.</li>
<li>Accept stop payments, revocations, stop ranges, alerts, address changes, check orders, deposit slip orders, telephone transfers, items for collections.</li>
<li>Close checking and savings accounts.</li>
<li>Process night deposits; mail receipts and records.</li>
<li>Resolve customer’s problems with scope of authority.Sell cashier’s checks.</li>
<li>Order Debit/ATM cards; notify “Hot Card” department and complete unauthorized usage report.</li>
<li>Contribute to overall banking center operations</li>
<li>Balance cash and daily transactions and ATM.</li>
