Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Position Details:
·&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Type: Per Diem
·&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Location: Bellevue, WA
Responsibilities:
·&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Understand and adhere to established policies and procedures.
·&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Ensure adherence to Universal Precautions for resident and staff safety.
·&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Prepare residents' medications for short-term absences following state regulations.
·&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Collaborate with the healthcare team to implement the nursing care plan for each patient.
·&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Initiate preventive and rehabilitative nursing procedures as appropriate.
·&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Observe signs and symptoms and report to the physician and RN, including reactions to treatments and changes in the patient's physical or emotional condition.
·&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Teach and counsel patients and their families/significant others on nursing care needs and related issues for home care.
·&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Participate in medical record audits as assigned.
·&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Attend staff meetings, patient care conferences, and in-services as scheduled.
·&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Read Daily Communication Logs for resident information.
·&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Document any changes in resident status in Progress Notes and review them regularly.
·&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Complete resident treatments as ordered and scheduled.
·&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Assist with personal care and physical support as needed.
· &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Performs other duties as assigned.
Other Skills or Qualifications:
·&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Proficient computer skills in managing the electronic health record (EHR).
·&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Ability to manage information electronically and transfer records appropriately.
·&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Ability to work in an electronic environment.
·&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Refined deductive reasoning skills for problem-solving during shifts.
·&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Must have a valid driver’s license or dependable access to a vehicle for business use.
·&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Must be in good health and physically/mentally capable of performing assigned tasks.
·&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Working knowledge of personal computing and word processing software, particularly&nbsp; Microsoft Windows.
·&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Completion of appropriate competencies as required by the facility.
Requirements:
·&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; Licensure: Current unrestricted license to practice as a&nbsp;Licensed Practical Nurse&nbsp;(LPN) in WA state.
·&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Active BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
·&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Preferred minimum of one (1) year of nursing experience.
·&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
·&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Ability to work well in a fast-paced SNF environment.
·&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Two (2) positive work references
·&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Successfully complete and pass a background check and drug test.
