Job Description
This position is responsible for the delivery of finished goods to and from customers in a professional and safe manner. Additionally, this position is responsible for picking up Ford cores and returns from the customer and other items that may be assigned.
REQUIREMENTS/DUTIES:
· Operate and drive a 26ft box truck, or straight truck safely and professionally to transport parts.
· Operate a forklift to efficiently transport material and parts and load/unload parts from trucks.
· Perform the daily safety checks of equipment.
· Properly secure loads for safe transport.
· Process all core and warranty returns using the PDA scanner and providing the customer and warehouse with proper receipts and paperwork.
· Prepare and package loads.
· Interface with customers and other shop personnel in a professional manner.
· Other duties as assigned including helping in warehouse operations as needed.

Required Skills/Qualifications:
· Must have a valid driver’s license (Class C).
· Must have 2 years’ experience driving 26ft straight trucks with lift gates on the road.
· Demonstrated skill in operating straight trucks.
· Knowledge of DOT regulations.

Summary/Objective
The Truck Driver will safely and efficiently deliver finished goods, products, equipment, and materials to customers in a timely and professional manner. 
Essential Functions

<li>Operates a variety of trucks according to applicable local and federal transportation laws, including but not limited to semi-trucks, tractor trailers, and dump trucks.</li>

<li>Deftly maneuvers truck and trailer into loading and unloading areas; follows landing crew signals. </li>
<li>Assists with loading of or loads and unloads goods, equipment and materials, using specialized equipment when warranted; unloads empty skids and returns all equipment to designated area. </li>
<li>Maintains signed invoices, shipping bills of lading, and other required paperwork; delivers documentation to trucking office or other appropriate staff when delivery route is complete. </li>
<li>Facilitates daily routine inspections and service on trucks, which may include checking oil, water, gasoline, and air; reports maintenance and repair needs to the Shop Supervisor.</li>
<li>Monitors gauges and other indicators to ensure safe operation.</li>
<li>Adheres to all safety rules, guidelines, and codes.</li>
<li>Perform other reasonably related duties as may be assigned.</li>
</ul>
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
<ul>
<li>Thorough understanding of practices involved in the use of various types of trucks.</li>
<li>Thorough understanding of maintenance and basic repairs associated with trucks. </li>
<li>Thorough understanding of safety rules and ability to safely operate machinery. </li>
<li>Superior skill operating assigned trucks safely and efficiently. </li>

Education and Experience Requirements:

<li>High school diploma or equivalent, with at least one to three years of experience operating trucks OR any equivalent combination of training and experience. </li>
<li>Valid and clean Guam commercial 'Type B operator' driver’s license appropriate for the weight of the vehicle to be operated required; </li>
<li>Valid and clean Guam driver’s license Type C appropriate for the weight of the vehicle to be operated required; </li>
<li>Must be able to obtain or possess a valid Department of Transportation (DOT) card.</li>
<li>Must be able to obtain and pass military base access security protocols. </li>
</ul>

Work Environment
This job operates in a Shop and Field environment. This role routinely is exposed to heat, humidity, and light to moderate rain and wind. The position requires the knowledge in the use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
