Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our construction infrastructure and design team in Houston. This role involves building and repairing diesel engines, particularly for FORD trucks ranging from F150 to F450, as well as assembling and repairing equipment for Hydro Excavation. The position requires expertise in hydraulic repairs and maintenance of heavy construction equipment. The ideal candidate will diagnose and repair issues in engines, transmissions, electrical steering, suspensions, brakes, climate control, computers, and electronics.
Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Perform work as outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy.</li>
<li>Diagnose the cause of any malfunction and perform necessary repairs.</li>
<li>Communicate with the floor lead or supervisor to obtain needed parts.</li>
<li>Examine assigned vehicles to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended.</li>
<li>Document all work performed and recommended on repair orders.</li>
<li>Conduct road tests on vehicles when required.</li>
<li>Maintain knowledge in all aspects of automotive repair and maintenance.</li>
<li>Learn new technology and procedures.</li>
<li>Operate electronic diagnostic equipment.</li>
<li>Maintain a clean and organized shop area.</li>
<li>Work comfortably and knowledgeably on class 3-8 vehicles, air brake systems, electrical, and hydraulic systems.</li>
</ul>
Essential Skills
<ul>
<li>Proficiency in diesel troubleshooting and repair.</li>
<li>Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, climate, computer, and electronics.</li>
<li>Experience with fleet and heavy equipment maintenance.</li>
<li>Knowledge of hydraulics and preventive maintenance.</li>
<li>Ability to use electronic diagnostic equipment.</li>
<li>Problem-solving attitude and fast learning capabilities.</li>
<li>Possession of personal tools.</li>
</ul>
Additional Skills &amp; Qualifications
<ul>
<li>Experience working on Ford trucks and heavy equipment.</li>
<li>Experience with hydro excavation equipment, heavy equipment, or mobile fleets.</li>
<li>Fabrication experience.</li>
<li>Bilingual skills are a nice-to-have but not required (75% of the shop is Spanish-speaking).</li>

Work Environment
The position is in a shop environment that is not climate-controlled. You will work alongside heavy equipment and diesel mechanics who are supportive and willing to train and assist. While you will receive training mainly from the shop manager, you are expected to work independently as needed. The dress code includes steel-toed boots, jeans, and a work shirt. The work schedule is a day shift from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday, with potential changes to a 7:00 am to 5:00 pm schedule in the future. The team stays busy to accommodate Houston traffic.

Working under close supervision, may perform a combination of assembly, repair, and test operations on pacemakers, implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs), leads, and related medical device assemblies. Performs routine assignments according to specified and/or standardized procedures. Work is closely and continually reviewed. Ensure that relevant job documentation for cell operations and functions is accurate and up to date. Be able to clearly communicate ideas, problems and solutions to all levels of manufacturing management in both written and oral form. Maintain a positive attitude when interacting with internal customers and external customers such as tours. Follow safety guidelines and utilize appropriate safety devices when performing all operations. Participate in continuous improvement/quality initiatives in order to enhance production processes to achieve quality and profitability metrics. Maintain accurate records to ensure traveler and quality documents are accurate, all parts are traceable and quality issues can be addressed to assure the quality of all products. Demonstrates a basis understanding of Lean Manufacturing. Changing shoes in the production area, other than a gowning room, is not allowed. Torsos, upper arms, and legs must be covered. Pants (above the ankle), skirts (above the ankle), skirts with slits, short shirts (above the navel), and sleeveless tops are not allowed. Skirts at the ankle are allowed, but full-length stockings, leggings, or pants must be worn under them. Nail polish, acrylic, artificial nails, or similar nail coatings are not allowed. Jewelry or body piercings that can pierce gloves or cannot be covered under gowning materials will not be allowed in the production area. Makeup shall not be worn. Lip balm in stick form is acceptable, when applied outside of production areas and prior to hand washing. Scented personal use products shall not be worn, except deodorant. JOB SUMMARY

The Service Coordinator will play a critical role in coordinating the deployment of our field service technicians to various job sites, ensuring timely response to client requests, and maintaining efficient communication channels between field personnel and management.
 
 
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
 
Primary responsibilities are inclusive but not limited to the items listed below:

1. Dispatch Coordination:
<ul>
<li>Communicate with clients for scheduling of equipment and personnel.</li>
<li>Coordinate with field service technicians to schedule and them to appropriate job sites.</li>
<li>Ensure that technicians are equipped with necessary tools, equipment, and materials for each assignment.</li>
<li>Monitor the progress of ongoing jobs and make necessary adjustments to schedules as needed.</li>
<li>Keep job reports up to date </li>
<li>Create jobs with required information in the ERP system. </li>
<li>Keep track of tech’s time off and availability.</li>
<li>Communicate with facility manager on upcoming jobs and equipment needs.</li>
<li>Scheduling logistics of equipment to and from location. </li>
<li>Conduct HSE rig site audits on active rigs. </li>
<li>Perform field site performance evaluations on MPD techs.</li>
<li>Report and escalate if required all NPT incidents to senior management.</li>
</ul>
2. Communication Management:
<ul>
<li>Serve as the primary point of contact between field personnel, clients, and management.</li>
<li>Provide regular updates to clients regarding the status of service requests and estimated arrival times of technicians.</li>
<li>Relay important information, instructions, and changes in schedules to field technicians promptly.</li>
<li>Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among team members to enhance overall efficiency and productivity.</li>
</ul>

3. Resource Optimization:
<ul>
<li>Coordinate the allocation of resources, including manpower and equipment, to maximize operational efficiency.</li>
<li>Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve resource utilization to meet service objectives.</li>
</ul>

4. Documentation and Reporting:
<ul>
<li>Maintain accurate records of service requests, dispatch activities, and job status updates.</li>
<li>Generate reports on service performance, response times, and resource utilization.</li>
<li>Assist in the preparation of field invoices and job folder creation. </li>
<li>Audit DDR’s and DT daily for discrepancies. </li>
</ul>

 
 
EDUCATION &amp; EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

<ul>
<li>High school diploma or equivalent; Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred.</li>
<li>Proven experience in dispatching, scheduling, or logistics coordination, preferably in the oil and gas industry.</li>
<li>Proficiency in using computer systems (Excel, Word, Visio), and software applications (ERP, QMS, HRIS, and HSE programs).</li>
<li>Knowledge of oilfield operations, equipment, and terminology is desirable.</li>
<li>Ability to remain calm under pressure and make quick, well-informed decisions to address unforeseen challenges or changes in plans.</li>
<li>Ability to work non-standard hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.</li>
<li>Ability to be on call 24/7. </li>
<li>Flexibility to travel to and from field locations and or other Stasis facilities.</li>
