Key&nbsp;Responsibilities:
Labor&nbsp;&amp;&nbsp;Delivery:
&nbsp;•&nbsp;Monitor&nbsp;labor&nbsp;progression,&nbsp;fetal&nbsp;heart&nbsp;rate,&nbsp;and&nbsp;maternal&nbsp;vital&nbsp;signs.
&nbsp;•&nbsp;Assist&nbsp;obstetricians&nbsp;and&nbsp;midwives&nbsp;with&nbsp;vaginal&nbsp;and&nbsp;cesarean&nbsp;deliveries.
&nbsp;•&nbsp;Perform&nbsp;immediate&nbsp;newborn&nbsp;assessments&nbsp;including&nbsp;Apgar&nbsp;scoring&nbsp;and&nbsp;initiation&nbsp;of&nbsp;breastfeeding.
&nbsp;•&nbsp;Provide&nbsp;emotional&nbsp;and&nbsp;physical&nbsp;support&nbsp;to&nbsp;laboring&nbsp;patients&nbsp;and&nbsp;their&nbsp;families&nbsp;during&nbsp;delivery.
Antepartum&nbsp;&amp;&nbsp;Postpartum&nbsp;Care:
&nbsp;•&nbsp;Deliver&nbsp;safe,&nbsp;evidence-based&nbsp;nursing&nbsp;care&nbsp;to&nbsp;expectant&nbsp;mothers&nbsp;experiencing&nbsp;complications&nbsp;but&nbsp;not&nbsp;in&nbsp;active&nbsp;labor.
&nbsp;•&nbsp;Provide&nbsp;postpartum&nbsp;care,&nbsp;including&nbsp;assessment&nbsp;and&nbsp;monitoring&nbsp;of&nbsp;mothers&nbsp;after&nbsp;birth.
&nbsp;•&nbsp;Support&nbsp;and&nbsp;educate&nbsp;mothers&nbsp;on&nbsp;breastfeeding,&nbsp;recovery,&nbsp;and&nbsp;newborn&nbsp;care.
&nbsp;•&nbsp;Assist&nbsp;with&nbsp;basic&nbsp;newborn&nbsp;care&nbsp;and&nbsp;ensure&nbsp;a&nbsp;safe&nbsp;transition&nbsp;for&nbsp;both&nbsp;mother&nbsp;and&nbsp;baby.
General&nbsp;Nursing&nbsp;Duties:

Qualifications:
•&nbsp;Graduate&nbsp;of&nbsp;an&nbsp;accredited&nbsp;Nursing&nbsp;Program&nbsp;(Diploma,&nbsp;Associate’s,&nbsp;or&nbsp;Bachelor’s&nbsp;Degree&nbsp;in&nbsp;Nursing).
&nbsp;•&nbsp;Current&nbsp;and&nbsp;unrestricted&nbsp;RN&nbsp;license&nbsp;in&nbsp;the&nbsp;State&nbsp;of&nbsp;Georgia.
&nbsp;•&nbsp;Previous&nbsp;experience&nbsp;in&nbsp;Labor&nbsp;&amp;&nbsp;Delivery&nbsp;and/or&nbsp;Maternity&nbsp;Care&nbsp;strongly&nbsp;preferred.

<li>Support low-risk laboring patients through labor and delivery, ensuring a safe and positive childbirth experience, and providing continuous care during the postpartum period.</li>

Gynecological Care:
<ul>
<li>Provide routine gynecological services, including well-woman exams, pap smears, and screenings for sexually transmitted infections (STIs).</li>
<li>Offer counseling and management for all methods of family planning, as well as reproductive life planning.</li>
<li>Treat common gynecological conditions such as menopause, perimenopause, pelvic pain, and postmenopausal bleeding.</li>
<li>Provide postoperative care and follow-up visits for gynecological surgeries.</li>

Patient Education and Support:

Qualifications:

<li>Certification: AMCB Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM).</li>
<li>Education: Graduate of a nurse-midwifery education program accredited by the ACNM Accreditation Commission for Midwifery Education (ACME).</li>
<li>Degree: Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN/MS).</li>
<li>Licensure: Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of North Carolina.</li>
<li>Certifications: CPR and NALS certification required.</li>
<li>DEA License: Current unrestricted DEA license or ability to obtain.</li>
<li>Experience: Minimum of one year of full-time experience as a CNM preferred; Labor &amp; Delivery experience is also preferred.</li>
